Four years ago, we were all unknown, and there were many things

I didn't comprehend yet, and I wanted to shoot more and add scenes.

Things that I couldn't do back then, I'm able to this time.

But there are many people who just want to make money by re-editing

or adding a little bonus feature, and that's so lame.

I've never heard of anybody who remade their film after four years.

eating cheap lunches, bearing the cold in the mountains...

You don't know if people are even alive four years later,

gained or lost weight, or gone bald.

What's interesting about Versus is that we do things no one's ever done.

Because it's Versus, we can do stupid things. Anything is possible.

They re-shot a few scenes for the new version!

Not just adding bonus scenes, or re-editing the movie, everybody's done that.

I wanted to do something more stupid.

That was the fighting scene with the zombies, at the end,

where Sakaki and Tak battle, that was my main scene to reshoot.

What became the backbone of Versus, the "Versus scene".

I'm totally fine with the original Versus. I'm satisfied with the work.

Back then, during the Tak/Sakaki battle, there were plans already

- to punch each other and the like. - Oh, back then.

But I decided to concentrate on the sword play.

I remember the first day of shooting like that.
