But I knew I had a lot of
reading ahead of me that night.

And candlelight just
wasn't going to be enough.

I was one of those wives
who never asked questions

about our investments.

Jonathan seemed to
enjoy it so much.

I just let it be a
part of his world.

I wasn't even sure I'd be able
to read one of those reports.

But to my surprise, it
was pretty easy to follow.

The first sheet showed
a balance of $16,300.

But Chris had said Jonathan's
investments had failed.

I caught on to the
system pretty quickly.

It was just like that cliche
you hear all the time--

looking better all the time.

Then I saw the reason

were showing a profit.
