I learned the ways of the world

through her example,
and as you can imagine,

it wasn't all textbook stuff.

The one thing she wasn't able to teach me
was how to say her name properly,

which is how she ended up
being known as Bif,

due to my inability
to pronounce Elizabeth.

My biggest regret

is that over the years we grew apart,

and it was only
when we reconnected last summer,

that I realised quite how much I missed...

Her guiding hand.

Her lust for life was contagious.

And being around her again
forced me to wake up

and start making the most of it.

My sister was loyal,

fun,

challenging,

mischievous, generous, loving
and stubborn as a mule.

[mild laughter]

She quite simply refused to be defined
by convention, or more recently,

iHness.

She was truly a one-off.

The world is going to be a duller place
without you, Bif.
