I returned to Brideshead
in the spring of 1924.

The Easter party was a bitter time

culminating in a small
but unforgettable painful incident.

that he had to face his family.

and they go together to the Levant,
where Mr Samgrass has long

been anxious to investigate
a number of orthodox monasteries.
