shape, slant of the letters, the

The formation of the 'S' is unusual
and consistent across the exemplars.

And the bow of the 'R' and the 'P'
are a match.

We also have fingerprint matches
on the letter and on the envelope

but the saliva on the envelope
isn't his.

So, not only did he not send the
letter, he didn't seal it either?

No. There's also
something odd about the text.

He's spelt the name of his college
incorrectly and the name of his

brother, Jakob; he's spelt it with a
'c' instead of with a 'k'.

But the guy was under duress,
he was having his chest sliced open.

It wouldn't make any difference.
The spelling of family
names is overlearned...

it's an automatic action.

It's highly unlikely
it would be incorrect.

There are six spelling
mistakes in total.

In every other piece of writing we
have by Karl he made zero mistakes.
