having a trust fund

it can be a motivational killer,

She's 20 months old.

struggle between

being a stay-at-home mom

- On a scale of Shep's
partying,

she was probably a two.

- He was a bad boy.

He was, like,
totally opposite of

what I was used to
in the South,

and that is what
attracted me to him, yes.

- A lot of viewers really seem
to relate to your struggles

with trying to be
the perfect mom.

But other viewers saw you

as a little whiny this year.

"Cam, I wish working
was a privilege for me

"and not a necessity.

"Then maybe I could
actually spend time

with my husband and child."

- You'd rather be in an office?

- Absolutely, because, you know,

you have adult conversation
and you're stimulated

and when you're taking
care of a baby,

you're taking care of a baby.

When you're on a TV show,
it's like a mirror.

You see sides of yourself
that you normally would not.

And watching that,
it kinda made me go,

"Ew, gross, Cameran.

"Like, you--you lucky bitch

"that you are able
to have the choice

whether or not you want
to stay at home or not."

And I think it did
make me come across

as being, um, stuck-up

and, um, what's the word, um...

- Privileged?
Entitled.

- You did not come off stuck-up.

Every single mom feels
and thinks the things

that you were saying,
like, honestly.

- Well, no, yes,
and I would say,

I have overwhelmingly
gotten more support

than I have had those comments.

But you do kinda feel
guilty complaining

when you are in
a position of privilege

to be able to have the choice.

Like, if I didn't work,
we would still eat.

I like to work because
I like to have my own money.

I like to feel independent
of my husband.

Like, we've been married
for six years,

and we still don't
have a joint--

like, I have my own
checking account and my own--

like, I just--that's how I--

that's how I feel comfortable.

So, um, I get it.
I get both sides.

- Guys, how many of you
would prefer that your wife

stayed at home
and raised your children?

- I don't think it's
our decision to make.

- Be honest. Be honest.

- My mom did that.

My mom drove us to
every single practice.

I mean, it was a--
three kids,

full-time job
like none other.

- Both my parents shared
the responsibility equally.

- The script was kinda
flipped for me

because I thought that
stay-at-home moms had it easy

before I had Palmer,

and now, I mean, oh, my God.

- Well, see, I was
raised by a nanny.

My mother has always worked.

My father has always worked,
you know.

And so during the day,

I had a live-in babysitter,
always.

And, you know, just like
that woman who tweeted in,

like, yes, I am attracted to,

like, an independent, like,
go-getter, you know, woman

that has her own career
and wants her own money

and wants everything like that

and isn't gonna rely on me
to, like, bring home the bacon.

- Did you ever hire a nanny?

- No.
- You didn't?

- I just kept thinking
to myself, like,

"Why am I gonna pay
someone to do this

when I, realistically,
can do it myself?"

I just--she's growing
and changing just so quickly

that I just don't
wanna miss anything.

- Yeah.

- You're definitely
more emotional.

- Yeah.
- Very emotional.

- Like, you talk about
Palmer or something

like very sweet and good,

and you get teary-eyed
like that.

- Once you have a child,
it's like this part

of your brain opens
that was never there,

and you feel all these
feelings and emotions,

and it's--it's really crazy.

Have you had any luck picking
up women at the dog run?

- Uh, no, I haven't.

why I did it.

"Shep should be
the last person to own a dog.

He lost a girlfriend
in a ditch."

- So we go on a bike ride,
and I lose her.

each other on bikes?

that the woman that
you were riding bikes with

was left behind in a ditch?

I'm always, like,

you know, a little anxious.

listen to Cameran

in your pursuit of real estate.

You get in this zone,

your few negative qualities

and I think you need
to seriously do

some, like, self-introspection

and try to figure out

what makes you
get to this point

of, like, just fire
in your eyes, like...

- You take it to a nasty level.

Then you start
to say mean stuff,

where you're like, all right,
there's something darker there.

- And then, you went
into your whole, like,

"I am the smartest
person in the room."

- Your brains work
differently than mine.

- You're goddamn right they do.
- They are so different.

You just don't see
stuff the way--

- I'm smart.

- When you see blood
in the water,

some people would be like,
"All right, my bad, man."

But you just get this smile
and you just go

and that's when I, like,
freaked, that's all.

But, I mean, I have a lot of--

I've got--I can be snobby,

I can be elitist,
I can be rude,

but I can also be generous.

I can be kind. I can be jovial.

I have all these things
within me.

I argue that we all
have things within us

that we like and don't like.

look, my only source of anger--

well, yeah, I mean...

- When you watch yourself
on the show,

does it make you like,
"Oh, sh--, like, I was yelling"?

Or does it just seem like...
- No, it angers him.

gladly, you know?

ladies' dinner at Patricia's

to get emotional between us.

that you suppress anger.

- I think my overwhelming,

you know, personality trait
is not angry,

and if you think that,
then you don't know me at all.

when I see it,

it comes out in a way that is--

uh, it makes an impact.

crazy, but when I get angry,

it's because I have
a closeness with the person.

I would never--I would
never even waste an anger

or emotion on somebody
I didn't give an eff about.

I've seen you do it to people,
you know, in public

and you scream at someone.

I'm like, "Shep, you don't
know this person. Stop."

- It's not personal, dude.

- It wasn't just anger
but arrogance

that a lot of viewers
picked up on.

Is that a surprise to you?

- No, no, that's something
I try to suppress,

but it's there, you know.

I mean, you know, the whole,

you know, grew up, uh, with--

and wanting really
nothing, right.

And, uh, my grandmother
was a pistol,

and she would--
she would sort of,

you know, make little
snotty comments

about, you know, this per--

like, for example, Vero Beach

or some beach down in--
she called it Zero Beach

because it wasn't
the right ilk of people.

Like, I grew up
listening to that.

It can't help but seep into you
a little bit sometimes.

- But you just need to be aware
that other people have opinions,

other people have
their belief systems.

Like, just because they don't
necessarily agree with you

doesn't mean that they're,
like, an evil, bad person.

It's just, they have
a different...

- Or dumb.
- Yeah, or dumb.

anyone else is dumb.

- When you look at everyone

on this couch
that you've upset,

do you think there are times

Last summer, in an effort
to finally get over Naomie,

Craig made a pilgrimage
to the Bahamas

and returned to Charleston
with a new attitude

and a new assistant.

From life coach to life manager,

Anna-Heyward makes sure
the pillows get made

and Craig doesn't
burst at the seams.

- We got lots to do today.

We have a few emails
we need to respond to.

So we need to...

- I don't remember that,
but, you know...

she's doing everything.

a reason to stop

when I moved to the Bahamas,
and so I just stopped.

And that's why I looked so much
healthier when I came back,
