All language subtitles for 10. Creating The Convertkit Squeeze Page to Capture Leads Using The Lead Magnet

Hello there, everybody.

And welcome back.

Now, in this lecture, I'm going to show you how you can create the ConvertKit squeeze page, much

like this one, except for this time.

I'm going to change it a little bit.

Now, what I'm going to do is very simply, I'm going to create a mockup of the lead magnet that we

gave people for free.

But in order to be able to do that, first of all, I got to go ahead and create an eBook cover.

Now, this isn't really a e-book, you know, because it's just a lead magnet and it's very, very small.

It doesn't really have that much content in it, but you can make things fancy if you want to.

So here I'm going to click on Create a Design custom size.

Now, actually, no, I'm going to click create a design and choose the book format.

Right?

Book cover.

Even though this is not really the biggest size or the size it should be for an e-book cover.

But I'll show you where I'm actually going with this.

So now let's just name this e-book.

Cover.

EMG and we're going to go and select a cover that relates to AI.

So let's just look for AI to find if there are some templates.

There is none.

Okay, so let's just try to find something about marketing.

Okay.

So there's a lot of free mockups for marketing as it happens.

There are some pretty decent ones that I'm kind of looking at right now, so I might just as well go

ahead and choose one of those.

Now here I think I kind of liked this one right here now, except for I'm going to change this guy with

a robot.

So replace him with a robot.

I'm going to go to elements right here.

AI Now, it's not a best seller, but I mean.

We can write best.

You can use the for the word free.

As an incentive.

Now we can cut down on the robot just from this side and make it bigger from the bottom.

So you could put your name in there and you can also put your brand if you wanted to.

So for example, I can go to uploads.

I always like to put my logos in things.

That's just a habit and make it as small as possible because we just want to put it down at some side

Now this is what we're going to turn into a mockup.

And on the other hand, what I will actually do is I will go ahead to Canva and I'll create a custom

size of 1000 and 980 by 1280 because I believe there is no really there is none, no screens that actually

are much bigger than this.

So because this landing page here, the image that you put in the background, you have to make sure

that it shows in full for every device, even for an iMac or for a pretty large screen.

That is the reason why you would need to have a image that looks big.

And this image, by the way, is what we're going to be using for the background.

So what I will be doing for the most part is I will just go and look for a i background.

Let's just try to find something.

Now, there's a lot of good AI backgrounds here.

If I go to graphics now, graphics, there's not really much.

If you go to photos, that's when we can find stuff.

Okay.

So that's pretty good.

Decent backgrounds.

Let me just try to find something that really hits me to the core.

I think I'll probably just go with the first image.

Right.

And I'm going to do this thing right here.

I'm going to set the image as a background image, and at the same time, I'm going to be going through

the uploads.

Remember the image that we just created right now?

That's exactly the image that we're going to create a mockup for, but we're going to put it down here

at this side.

Similar to this, the chat GPT logo on this side, what we want to do is we want to place the the book

here on the side and we don't want to create a text that says get the free chat GPT prompts, but instead

we want to use a button as a call to action and you'll know everything once I do this.

So I'm just going to add this right here.

Put it here and click on edit the image.

Now on Canva, you have an option to add smart mockups.

Now these smart mockups, they are really cool, right?

Because they allow you to, for instance, put this on a t shirt or on a computer or on a book mockup

held by somebody's hand.

The one that I would like is the 3D book mockup.

This one, this is the one I'm talking about.

So you can see the catch here.

Now, since the image is transparent, it's going to be cool.

And let's just try to make this a little bit bigger.

From the top as well to kind of fit.

And it just is good.

Okay, So I believe this is pretty good for an image.

So let's go on and name this free or lead ConvertKit background image.

Now here I'm going to reduce the monotony, reduce the transparency, a little bit of the color, just

a touch.

And at the same time, I'm going to go and edit the image by adding a little bit of contrast.

So yep, that's pretty cool.

A little bit of saturation.

Let's try adding just a little bit of brightness.

Let's see how that works as well.

Okay.

Now let me go ahead and download my image, which I believe looks pretty cool.

Now.

At the same time, what you want to do, you want to go to ConvertKit, click on Grow, click on landing

pages and forms.

Now what we want to create here is a landing page.

We don't want to create a form because a landing page is actually what's going to help us to collect

email addresses and we don't need a website as opposed to that forms and sign up or sign up forms.

They can be embedded on a website.

If you have a website, they can be embedded on a website, right as a piece of code.

And we don't want to really want to do that.

So I'm going to click here on Create New and they're going to give me the option of form versus landing

page.

I will choose the landing page.

There you go.

Now over here, there's a lot of templates which you can choose from, so you can choose any template

you so desire.

There's a lot of them and they really are pretty cool, right?

So if you're also an affiliate, you could use this to create a what you call a one page funnel that

directs people to a sales page or something like that.

So for me, because I just want to collect people's email addresses, I want something as simple as

possible.

Let me close this chat first.

Now, of course, if you have the pro plan, you have more choices.

So I'm going to choose A-B.

This is the theme or template that I'm going to choose.

If you click on Choose, you'll be inside of A-B.

Now, the first thing I would like to do is remove the text, select the text and remove them, select

the image and remove it.

Clicking on the delete button right here and over here, if you click on the image.

Actually, I think I have to go to to the general settings, scroll down, click on the image background,

and you can either use Unsplash images or pictures from your Instagram account, from your profile,

or you can use this as well.

Now I prefer to use my own images that I download myself and guess the images.

The image that we've been creating, which has the book on one side.

And that's perfect for a lead magnet page.

Now over here, I think it doesn't really look that horrible.

Now, as far as the email address, there's nothing to do with this except for the call to action.

You can change this right now.

You select this, remove it, and you can say get the 30 ChatGPT prompts.

Or productivity.

There you go.

Now, as far as the background color for the button, I don't like that green color.

I'm going to change it all the way to a red color.

And from here as well, let's move this.

I think it looks better this way.

So now, as far as the email address, well, first of all, if people enter their email address, they

need to get they need to get the lead magnet.

And how will they do that?

Well.

Click here on Settings.

Now, as far as the general message that people are going to get now, this is the message that they

will get on their email once they subscribe to your newsletter.

So here, I don't want to say success.

Now check your email to confirm your subscription.

But in my case, I would like to download this from my own computer.

And I think that as long as you have the file in your ConvertKit funnel, it's not going to go away.

So now it is loading.

Once it's loaded 100%, you can't see anything.

So just click save.

There you go.

Now you are ready to save.

Once you save, click publish.

Now once you publish this, it might take a few minutes to see the changes live.

Now if I take this link, which is the link of the ConvertKit page, and if I go to a new page and put

it in there, we might not see the changes.

But I think now that we can see the changes pretty easily.

Now the only thing I don't really like here.

Is the fact that this call to action is really close to us.

It's really close to the book.

Now, normally it shouldn't be that way, but I believe that's because I've zoomed out 100%.

So if I zoom out a little bit more, you can see that that kind of goes there.

So the solution is, I think, reducing the size of our book.

So let's reduce the size of the book.

Put it back here.

And as far as the image size, I think let's just keep it like that.

Okay.

So I'm going to put it far, far here.

Let me download it again.

Try it now.

Because it's true that it doesn't really look that appealing.

You know, I don't quite like it.

And also, normally this should be on one side.

But the problem is that the reason why this is on one side is because I have removed the text here.

I have removed the headline.

So probably if we had add the headline, this will be on the other side.

But if we add spaces, I think that will work.

Right.

So let's try it.

Let's try to save and publish now.

Right if I click on publish.

Let me copy the link and if it works, then there will be no need for me to just do the work and have

to replace the image.

So as usual, the changes might take a few a couple of minutes.

Now we also need to go ahead and test the ConvertKit.

So in the meantime, what we can do, instead of previewing it on a window, we can preview it right

here and you can see that the same problem still presents itself.

So you can think again and put it back, in my opinion.

The quick fix to this is to put the book right on the right hand side.

Now, there will be no need to make it smaller.

Let's just put it right here.

Make it just just a little bit bigger.

I believe that right now this is going to work like crazy.

Okay, so let's download the image.

Head back to General Styles.

Scroll down.

Remove this image.

Click on a new image.

Choose the files.

There you go.

Add the image.

There you go.

Now, all these changes won't impact on the squeeze page.

Now if I click Save.

Okay, So now we can preview it.

And I believe that now is better.

So you can see the free e-book, though the free e-book might need a touch of editing it to add a little

bit of contrast and a little bit of saturation.

All right.

So I think that now it's going to look much better also if we put it down here a little bit.

Now, this is the final touch.

Sorry to drag you with me, but we're we're getting this right.

But the funnel.

But the squeeze page, I always say funnel, but the squeeze page in and of itself really does work.

You know, it's what we're doing here is just focusing a little bit on the aesthetics, even though

I hate to do that, but it doesn't harm us.

So now if we preview.

This is how it looks.

It doesn't look so bad.

It looks pretty cool.

Now let's test this particular page.

So in order to test the page, you're going to have to enter your email address.

So I'm going to go ahead and enter a dummy email address.

And also it has to be an email address that I have never entered before.

I got this email address here.

Okay, so it's a success.

Now check your email to download your free 30 ChatGPT productivity prompts.

Hope it works.

Now, sometimes it might not work because it takes a little bit.

But in this case, I believe it works.

So here it says important.

Confirm your subscription.

Click inside and I can just confirm my subscription.

And there you go.

After you confirm your subscription, you automatically get the free lead magnet.

Now, the only thing that's left right now is to connect this ConvertKit page with a QR code, which

is what we're going to do in the next lecture.
