And it turned out this wasn't
some simple infestation...

that could be
exterminated easily.

Suddenly, war was
a whole new game.

Sicon's first move was to
send the Valley Forge...

and nine other starships on
a high-priority mission:

Find the transport bug, last
sighted near Pluto, and track it.

See if this thing is headed back
to the bug's home planet...

or bee-lining for some kind
of Grand Central bug station.

Basically, the reason for this war
wasn't territory or natural resources.

Total annihilation of the species.
That's what the bugs had planned for us.

And when word got back to Sicon,
that's what we now planned for them.

When Troopers first arrived on the
water planet, Sicon was optimistic...

believing we had mounted an
overwhelming offensive...

against the small,
underdeveloped bug base.

But after a month, the combat
we were seeing in Hydora...

made Pluto look like
a dress rehearsal.
