[Narrator] After three
week in the Amazon,

and half of the original survivalists
falling victim to the merciless jungle,

three legends of the
XL 60-day challenge

have arrived on an
unprecedented mission.

[Roars]

Here we are on the Amazon, baby.

[Matt] Got a call while
I was out on my boat

taking alligator hunters out.

They said, "hey, we need
you in the Amazon now,"

so with a drop of a hat,

here I am to take on
the Amazon jungle,

along with my Naked family.

[Jeff] Evidently, people were
dropping like flies out here,

so I'm here to show
that it can be done.

I understand exactly how
badass this place can be.

[EJ] If anybody
can survive out here,

I know it's me.

I spent 40 days in Colombia

on the first-ever XL challenge.

[Screaming]

This is what I live for!

The Philippines, where
I survived 60 days.

[Roars like an animal]

But also the
swamps of Louisiana,

my second 60-day challenge.

[All] Oh, my god!

[All yelling indistinctly]

[Jeff] I know what it's like

and it is the greatest feeling
that I've ever felt in my life,

and if I can help someone
else get to that finish line,

and to feel that
feeling themselves,

I want that for them.

[Matt] Every
challenge I've done,

I've been able to conquer,
dominate that environment.

Well, the Amazon,
it kicked me out.

It kicked me out fast.

[Woman] It's spread. Yeah,
it's getting a little wider.

[Woman 2] Heck,
yes, it's bigger.

The, uh, bacteria
can't be treated.

To make sure I save
my foot, I've gotta go.

Now here I am. I'm back,

and this place has
been on that bucket list.

I need to have that redemption.

It's gonna be worth it.

[EJ] Deja vu, all over.

Man, it's been eight years since
I've been here in the Amazon jungle.

[EJ roars]

That's dinner.

[Both] Hey!

- Hey!
- Whoo!

[Both] Hey!

[EJ] Took me a
while to get here,

but here I am. I'm ready to go.

Yeah! Ha, ha!

Whoo! Let's go, Amazon.

- [Jen] Who is it?
- [Jeff yelling] It's Jeff.

- [Jen] What is happening?
- [Trish] Don't even [bleep].

You swimming to us? [Laughs]

[Jen] Oh, my god.

- [Trish] Swimming.
- [Team Taj laughing]

- [Jen] Oh, my god!
- [Amber] Wonderful.

[Jen] Is he crawling
over the hyacinth?

[Trish] We've been
here three weeks,

and nobody's wanted to
really swim on those hyacinths.

I mean, he's struggling.

He looked like a
naked baby in a tub.

[Amber] Won't you
come over here,

and here's the
tree right here, Jeff.

Jeff, take this.

- You ready?
- Yes.

I'm gonna pull you in.

[Jen] Oh, my god.

Oh! So good to see you, ladies.

- This is insane.
- Welcome to team Taj.

Come on in!

You've got blood on your face.

- We just got a caiman!
- Oh, [bleep]!

[Jen laughing] Yeah!

I've never, like,
joined up in a group,

- when they've already been kicking ass for three weeks.
- Yeah.

Oh, my god, welcome, man.

It's really good
to see you, guys.

Nice swim through the hyacinths.

That was a new technique.

I've never been in a survival
challenge with three women before,

so this is new.
New territory for me,

and I'm definitely
a minority out here.

[Chuckling] There's
a lot of female energy,

so, um, I'm game.

So, you're doing
day one today...

- Mmm-hmm.
- Which would mean you're doing a 40 out here.

- Yeah, yeah. 40.
- Okay. Doing a 40.

Evidently, like, six people
tapped in the first week.

- Shut up!
- It was bad.

- Everything was bad.
- What?

- People were so sweet.
- There were so many storms,

- so many bugs.
- Yeah.

[Amber] Jeff has been, in
the past, very showboating.

Yeah, baby! [Howls]

[Screeches]

-[Screeches] -[Man] I
couldn't hear you. What?

- [Yelling] Yes!
- What?

- [Man] I couldn't hear what you said.
- Yes!

[Amber] And not
always very nice.

We just wanna stay
our own two-person duo.

We've made our policy.

Neighbors, not roommates.

But this is gonna be
an amazing adventure,

and I'm excited to share
the moments with him

and even learn from him.

He's an experienced
survivalist. He's a legend.

You guys wanna
take him to the shelter

- while I gut and prepare food?
- Show him around?

- Show me around? Oh, jeez.
- Yeah. Let's go, new guy.

[Trish] Holy crap!

Like, reality
sets in. It's like,

"how is this gonna change us?"

Like, how is the
dynamic gonna change?

Did you guys... you've
got friggin' paths already.

[Jen] Oh, yeah,
we've got our ways.

- Yeah?
- Ways around the Amazon.

[Trish] We may have had
our differences, Amber and I

but when it gets down to
it, we are strong women,

and we thrive out here.

So, we've got two ponds...

- Oh, no [bleep].
- One here, one here, and they go way back, yeah.

- Really?
- Yeah, so...

- Have you seen electric eels in them?
- No.

Very surprised.

We were not anticipating
anybody to come today,

so we'll see what he can catch,

out in our ponds
or out on the river,

but it makes me feel there's no
chance in hell I'm leaving before 40.

- [Jeff] So...
- [Trish] Well, you can scream as much as you want here,

'cause there's absolutely
no game for you to scare off.

I don't like it when
people tell me to shut up.

These girls are doing good.

They look good,
they're energetic,

they're happy, they're positive,

which says everything about
what they're doing out here.

roommate in the shelter.

[Trish] It's up to him,
he's the new guy.

myself for five weeks...

through a lot together.

We went through
Louisiana together,

and to have him out here,

as somebody who
I've survived with,

somebody who I've cried with
and bled with and sweat with,

that's a blessing.

It is on, Amazon.

- I cannot believe you're here, dude.

My mind is totally
freaking blown right now.

Oh, yeah. I had no idea
what I was walking into,

or who I was gonna see, but...

- That is crazy.
- When I seen you poke your head out,

I was like, "oh, my god, you
gotta be kidding me. Steven?"

[Steven] That is
freakin' nuts, dude.

[Dan] Waz and I have
been out here killing it.

Water, fire, shelter,

but we've just been
talking about, like,

how we're gonna take
this to the next level.

Like, we needed to
up our hunting skills,

and man, the best hunter
in Naked and Afraid history

just got dropped
on our doorstep.

So grateful for that.

You guys are looking good.

- Yeah, we've been doing all right.
- Heck, yeah.

- How long have you been here for?
- I just got here.

[Matt] Purely to
be of assistance.

This challenge just took
on a whole new level.

- Did you guys start together?
- [Dan and Waz] No.

Oh, really?

- We started in separate groups of three.
- [Waz] Separate groups.

Out of 12 of you, six didn't
make the first six days.

- Yeah, that's crazy.
- [Dan] It's pretty intense.

- Testament to what this place did to us that first week.
- [Matt] Oh, yeah.

I wasn't completely surprised,

hearing that so many people
had gone home in the first week.

- Show me your humble abode, here.
- Yeah, we'll show you.

- Come on in.
- We'll show you in.

[Waz] Your body has to acclimatize
to the weather and humidity,

and the bugs might be the
most brutal thing that I've endured

as a human being in
my 40 years on this earth.

Dang, that's nice!
Nice and watertight.

You guys are killing it.

[Waz] We've got a pretty
good system going down.

[Dan] We both have our
own bow and arrow sets...

- Oh, you do?
- That we don't know how to use that well.

I know a guy who could maybe
help a little bit in that department.

- We both got kills.
- Oh, really?

Yeah. Waz got a
six-foot electric eel...

- Yeah.
- And I got an ant-eater.

- Well done.
- I mean, we were pretty close.

Yeah, we're probably
looking to increase our range.

Hey, it's not about
how far it was.

- It's about how much it filled in your stomach.
- Right.

We really wanna thrive out here.

It's not just survival,
it's about thriving.

Matt's really gonna help us
from a survival perspective

make it to those 40 days.

[Waz] Then we got a little
fishing dock set up down there.

[Matt] Yep. Is that a
tomato garden growing?

Ate a bunch of tomato seeds
right before the challenge

- and [bleep] them out.
- [Dan and Matt laugh]

- I'm growing a tomato bed.
- Okay.

I like the creativity.

[Dan] Have you ever made
one of these traps, Matt?

- This bird trap right here?
- Yeah.

- No.
- You know, I've been training it to come to that spot.

You're talking vultures, right?

Vultures, hawks.

[Matt] The vulture's not
exactly our ideal bird to eat,

but it's also, like, I mean,
a vulture gets a bad rep,

but you think, you
know, they eat meat.

[Dan] I did a lot of
research on it too.

Like, scientifically, really
there's no reason why you can't,

and we eat plenty of
things that eat dead meat.

There's plenty of people used to actually
eat vultures and the vulture eyeballs,

'cause they thought
vultures can see the future

so, heck, maybe we just get
psychic abilities if we catch one, huh?

I am hoping that I
can test my skills

by teaching them to
become, essentially,

a better hunter and
a better survivalist.

- Happy to have you out here, man.
- [Laughs] Yeah.

Welcome to the jungle.

How is this coming together?

- [Jen] Is it done?
- [Amber] Yo, it's done.

- [Jen] Start nibbling on it.
- [Amber] Nice.

[Jeff] These girls, they just
caught their second caiman

in as many days,

and they're on
cloud nine right now.

[Amber] Why don't you
grab a leg and join us?

We have a lot of
meat. This is too much.

No, no, no. It's all you guys'.

I'm fresh. I don't wanna
eat your meat right now.

[Jeff] They need this meat
much more than I do right no

I'm the fresh cat in the jungle.

I'm energetic, I'm healthy.

I don't want those girls to
halve that win. They earned that.

[Amber] Why don't you do
bed, and I'll just do firewood,

'cause I know you said
you were gonna get some,

- and I'll do that.
- [Jeff] Yeah, that'll be great.

Yeah. I'll do firewood
and water with her

and, uh, we're good to go.

I'm doing a little remodeling,

uh, 'cause I'm moving in.

This might work out
good for everyone,

because Jen and Trish,

I hear that they
run on the cold side.

I run hot,

so I don't necessarily need
the fire too close to me her

so hopefully this can be
a good thing for everyone.

I'm collecting the
extra palm fronds

to make Jen and I a bed.

Jen gave up her space,

so now Jen and I are
moving in together,

and I'm making us
a nice new little bed.

[Amber] I'm excited
you're here, man.

It's nice having another
fisherman out here...

- [Jeff] Mmm-hmm. Oh, gosh.
- And a hunter...

- Yeah.
- Amongst us with it, so...

- [Jeff] Oh, dude. Me too.
- That's all I've done so far, is...

[Jeff] I'm looking forward to
getting a line in the water and...

- [Amber] You should. It's gonna be great.
- [Jeff] ...Joining in the fun.

[Jeff] Amber's very confident.

She's kind of taken
a leadership role

with Jen and Trish,
from what I've noticed.

- This group dynamic is really good.
- Mmm-hmm.

Um, the skill set of the group,

Jen, she's learned so
much on her challenges,

where she is, like,

- awesome to watch you and wanna learn from you.
- [Jeff] Yeah, mmm-hmm.

[Amber] And Trish is really
good at weaving, building things.

- [Jeff] Oh, that's awesome. Super-helpful.
- Yeah.

- She can fish too...
- Uh-huh.

But mainly I've just been fishing
every day and setting caiman lines...

- Yeah.
- And catching food every day.

- Awesome.
- I know.

[Amber speaks]

- [Jeff] It won't break?
- No.

[Jeff] Here, let me see it.

- I'm gonna show you a little trick I always tell.
- You mean the trees?

- [Chuckles] Huh?
- Tree beams?

Yeah, so now I do this

and throw it right at
the trunk, and snap.

[Branch breaks]

- [Amber] And it did. Thank you.
- Yeah.

[Amber] Dang, beast mode.

I'm gonna have to be careful
not to step on Amber's toes.

I don't wanna come
in as a new leader,

but I have completed every
challenge I've ever undertaken,

so I do know that I
have a lot to offer.

- Thank you. Cool.
- Mmm-hmm.

- [EJ] Gonna build a elevated bed.
- [Steven] For sure.

- We'll parallel each other.
- Yeah, I thought maybe, like, right here.

- That way, I can help with the fire.
- Yeah.

I've got energy.
I can carry stuff.

I'm a strong guy,

so let's just utilize my energy
while we have it for both of us.

So, I'm gonna build
a framing system,

and it's gonna be
opposite Steven's shelter,

with the fire right
in the middle.

That way, we can both tend to
the fire in the middle of the night,

equal-equal.

There's two wide
sticks to start the bottom,

actually, the foot
of the elevated bed,

and a crossbeam.

I gotta get this
set up for the night.

Even if I don't have a roof,
at least I can have the bed.

I can be up off the ground
and be ready for the night.

[Grunts]

Gotta get my mosquito
net up for the evening.

My first night back
in the Amazon,

- and I'm hangin' out with this guy.
- What's goin' on?

I'm grateful for
Steven's hospitality.

- In the Amazon! [Laughs]
- The Amazon jungle.

[Jen] So, it's night
21. Had a wild day,

and this is my
first caiman broth.

So this is from
our second caiman.

We ate a bunch
and boiled the rest up

with a leaf as well,

and so I'm so
excited to try this.

- [Amber] First caiman broth, baby.
- Smells amazing.

[Amber] Uh, ouch!

We're trying to get Jeff
to join in on the party.

- We're gonna force Jeff to eat with us.
- [Jen] Yes.

[Amber] Try this. Caiman
tastes just like an alligator,

but it doesn't have an aggressive
fishy taste on some parts.

- [Jeff] That's good.
- This is so good. So good.

[Amber] First
night with camp Taj,

and you're eating our caiman.

I'm very happy to be
partnered with a all-women trio.

[Taj] Yay!

Oh, they are kicking
ass and taking names,

and, uh, there's no
other place I'd rather be.

And we did not hold a knife to
him to make him say that part, okay?

- [Waz] It's our first night, boys.
- [Matt] Yeah.

in the back corner.

- Hey, hey!

[Matt] How are you doing?

And I'm in the
corner. I'm right here.

[Dan] It's a little cramped.

Day 21 down.

[Jeff speaks]

- [Amber] No.
- [Trish] Oh, no.

[Amber] Go right if
you're gonna puke.

[Vomits loudly]

[Trish] Oh, no. Uh-oh.

[Grunts]

[Moans]

Oh!

[Trish] Are you good, Jeff?

Jeff's not feeling
good right now.

I don't know if the
shelter's too hot.

[Trish speaks]

[Retches]

[Grunts loudly]

[Trish] Was it our cooking?

[Jeff] Oh, guys, I
feel so miserable.

[Trish] Still, huh?

Aw, I'm sorry, man.
That just sucks.

[Amber] It was bad last night.

Poor Jeff. He got super-sick

and he runs out of the
shelter and pukes up everything

and starts shaking.

[Jeff speaks]

[Amber] I know exactly how
that feels, and so does Jen.

We came in on day one, puking.

We could barely walk.

It was horrible,

so what this jungle does to
you is incredibly questionable,

on a daily basis.

[Retches]

Jeff is feeling pretty poor,

but we know we need
to go of on our own

and do what we need to do.

- So, right now, I'm gonna go and set lines and get it done.
- [Trish] All right, do it.

So that way, tomorrow
morning we have a fish.

[Trish] Great idea.

Cool. That way, it's done,

and I don't have to worry about
doing it before the sun goes down.

These stalks are dangerous.

- I know, I'm getting them out of the way. I'm like...
- I know.

Slice your foot open on those.

Uh-oh.

Oh, my.

That one is ripe as can be.

I'm actually doing really
good at catching these,

setting the lines
just above the water,

and the caiman are
pulling in the babies,

and they're getting
stuck on the mouth,

and I'm like, "dang, I'm
gonna do this every night."

If we get a caiman a day? Shoot.

Let it sit just
right on the water,

and hopefully,

the caiman go for it.

Ooh. Going nuts
for that, right now.

First day, with my
brother and legend...

- What's goin' on? Yeah!
- EJ Snyder.

[Steven] We're gonna go
on a little walkabout today.

We're gonna cross the river

see if we can't find
some new resources.

Palms, protein, fruit.

It's untapped
territory for me too,

so it'll be a cool
adventure for both of us.

I'm excited to go out
and cross the river,

but that's dangerous by myself.

It just wasn't worth
it, but having EJ here

and to have him have my back,

I feel good. Changes
the whole game, baby.

[Steven] Kind of right
here, passageway.

- Gonna have to get through the stuff over there.
- That grass. Floating grass.

It looks like
there's an opening,

- maybe right through there, like some animals make.
- Yeah. Yeah.

- Go through that.
- So there's maybe a little game trail.

So I'm thinking, uh...

You know, we'll just
huff it through here.

We'll, you know, belly-crawl
through the grass zone

- and, uh...
- Then get on that other side.

Check out that
other side over there.

Trees on that side
definitely look way, way taller.

Caiman crawl?

- Caiman crawl!
- Caiman crawl, baby.

We have to check out as much as
we can on the environment around us,

and if it means I gotta cross a
caiman, piranha-infested river,

we're gonna do that. We're
gonna get the job done

and fingers crossed we
find something worthwhile.

[EJ] When you're
crossing a river like this,

especially in the Amazon,

you don't know
what's underneath.

There's caiman,

there's anaconda,
there's piranhas

can basically grab your
leg and pull you under,

and you won't even... you know,
no one will ever see you again.

- You all right, brother?
- [Steven] Yep.

[Pants heavily]

- Okay?
- Yeah.

[Straining]

- There you go.
- Ha, ha. Whoo.

- That was no joke, huh?
- No.

It looked like it
was an easy swim.

Half of it is across that grass.

- Spider-infested, caiman, carnivore grassland.
- [EJ laughs]

[Steven] That was legit.

[Dan] Day 22, man.

How's it feel to be a day
further than you've ever been?

Oh, I just got... I just can't
stand this hair in my eyes.

- [All laughing] - [Matt] Your
hair still is remarkably short.

- You wanna do some improvements today?
- [Waz] Yeah.

[Waz speaks]

[Matt chuckling] I
know, it was like...

At one point in time, I woke up,

and you were using
my feet as a footrest.

- Yeah, that was fun.
- [Matt laughing]

[Matt] So, right now,
our shelter's a little tight.

Last night, the bed was
made for a little person,

and that little person
was Kaila, I believe,

so it was a little bit
hard to fit up there,

but to alleviate that,

we're actually expanding the
front of the shelter a little bit,

with a simple a-frame.

Waz and I will get
this thicker one.

These two are not some,
you know, amateur squad.

This is the varsity squad.

Oh, look at that. How lovely!

[Matt] Dan has the ambition
to go out and do things

that some normal person would
just not have the drive to do.

So, we're, like, making a
mosquito breeding ground here.

This kind of stuff fills
in the ground really well.

[Matt] You know,
Waz is a strong guy.

He's kinda going at it
in a strong-man way.

They're taking the challenge
on, kinda like myself,

where they... they enjoy it.

The amount of energy I've been
exerting lately is pretty extreme,

compared to the amount of
calories I've been taking in.

[Dan] Whoo, that's high up.

Matt Wright, that's his specialty,
is getting food for you out here,

which is exactly
what I was hoping for.

[Matt] What I just did now is I just
lashed on these poles up on top.

These are gonna create
the verticals going up.

The horizontal tie's gonna
be the actual palm itself.

- Looks like all of it.
- Yeah, that's good.

[Matt] And, as we layer
those from down to up,

it's gonna create a
pretty watertight shelter.

[Matt] Guys, once side down.

- Ooh, yeah.
- Nice.

[Waz] Uh, this is
looking pretty good, guys.

[Dan] We're working
hard as a group effectively.

We're communicating well,

growing as a team,
learning from each other.

This is more ambitious
than I thought.

I'm feeling good and ready to
take on a couple of new tasks.

Ideally, ones that involve
getting us more food.

[Waz] I feel like I
clocked in a while ago.

[Dan] Been
working a little hard.

[Waz] It's been
a pretty full day.

- [Steven] Looks like there's some higher ground up ahead.
- [EJ] Sure does.

- [Straining] Oh. Oh, boy.
- You all right?

- [EJ] Yeah.
- [Steven] Black palm.

Watch out. Black
palm, right here.

- Black palm to your left.
- [EJ] Jeez.

Black palm everywhere.

It is black palm hell.

[Steven] That's
the jungle, baby.

[EJ] Black palms are very thin.

They're not very
useful for anything,

other than really
irritating you,

'cause they've got
these huge needles,

as long as your finger,
that will go through anything

[grunts]

You know, I'm already
getting some in my feet,

and it's not good.

These things could
lead to infection,

and that'll take you out of
this challenge very quickly.

[Straining] Oh, uh-oh.

Ah, Steve, I was so hopeful.

[Steven] Tons of black palm.

[EJ] Ugh. Rough.

I really thought maybe there
was something really, really great

waiting over here,

but we don't know until we
get out and explore, right?

[Steven] Black palm
is the freaking devil.

[EJ grunting and straining]

Okay, bud ants, yes.

Wonderful. Keep moving.

[Steven] Survival is all about
not focusing on one food source,

but trying to find as many as
possible to sustain yourself,

so any sort of fruits,
carbs edible plants...

[EJ] This is a
land of desolation.

[Steven] We might just have to
cowboy up and head back to camp.

[EJ] Okay.

Nothing useful,

no sight or sound
of game anywhere,

and there's no good
shelter-building materials anywhere.

You know, if it was me,

when the other two people left,

I might have lasted
maybe a week,

and I would've decided,
"hey, I'm outta here.

I'm gonna go find
greener pastures."

[Steven] But, now we know.

I mean, it's just black pal
and reeds that try to kill you.

[EJ] That's death
valley over there.

[Jeff vomiting]

[Retches]

- [Trish] How are you doing?
- [Amber] How are you feeling?

- [Jen] Hey, dude.
- [Trish] You're looking a little gray.

I mean, I'm miserable.

[Amber] I know.
You look miserable.

With the pain in my
stomach right now...

- The pain in your stomach?

It's tough to hunt in a place
that's had a human footprint in it

I think a lot of our low-lying
animals are just not living here,

they're living in trees,

We had a little bit each. It

It'll be the quickest, easiest
way to cook that whole caiman.

We shouldn't have to hold skewers and,
you know, monitor the cooking too much.

And as I get to the blind,

I can actually see the birds land
back in the same spot they were.

It's obviously their
little spot to hang out.

I just had a shot at one of
these horned screamers.

Unfortunately, I don't
think it was a good shot.

I think it just went
through mainly feathers.

So to hit a bird, what you see
of the bird is not the whole target.

It's covered in feathers. The
actual body's much smaller.

So a big bird may only have a kill
zone the size of, like a small ball.

And because of that, you have
to be super precise on that arrow.

First arrow. I don't think
I spooked him too bad.

I really wanted to
have the opportunity

to show my partners
how to truly hunt,

and this was a

So that blow dart isn't heavy

the tip of it, that's the equalizer.

Once that dart hits that turkey,

And I can go get it and prepare
it for an early Thanksgiving.

I see Jeff as an ally. He
has a ton of experience.

The key here is you can literally
just stand there and don't move

and you're going to
see the sun hit the water

and there's, like, these
20 fish that come up.

They're about two
inches from the water.

And if you toss it one inch in
front of that pod, you get a fish.

I have the most experience
in the jungle environment

between us two.

But his ideas, you know, really do bring
some light that we haven't seen before.

That's where I caught two
caiman in between the two logs.

[Jeff] Momma's got to be
around here somewhere.

That's what we're thinking.

- But you've never seen them during the day?
- No, not during the day.

[Jeff] Amber has
a few lines set up,

but I see a lot of
missed opportunity.

I know there's got to be
electric eels in this water.

Also, I think there's a
different fish species

we could possibly be getting

instead of just the
small-type fish on the surface.

because I can't tell the girls what to do.

- I have to ask them how they're feeling,

So it's kinda nice being able to have
somebody with the same mindset as me.

hard to warm up to.

I feel like there's more
priority steps that I can take

But when I do get to it, this
is prime electric eel habitat.

but trying to hit a little ping-pong
ball at 30 yards is pretty tricky.

But that is a sign
that they're there.

You start looking
for that small detail.

That might just be
a bigger caiman.

Never a wasted try.

If you get frustrated, that's
gonna impact your future chances.

But the fishing is slowing down.

I don't know if it's
just that little spot.

It's been slim pickings
for the last few days.

We've only had, like, one out of two
fish. Which obviously's not enough.

It would be nice to be
able to just, you know,

walk out and get over the water.

[Waz] Access to
the deeper water,

there's a very strong
possibility we'd get a good feed.

Thinking about
maybe starting it...

Basically, if the grass continued
along, at its normal thing,

it does get deeper
towards the middle.

So I imagine that's
a bit of a highway

- for some of the bigger fish.
- [Both] Yeah.

Building a bridge out to
that, I think, is pretty essential.

[Matt] Out here, if we
can get over the water

we're gonna do a
lot more success.

And because of that, it's time
to build a bridge going to a dock.

Just like the platforms I've built
in the Amazon back in Ecuador.

And also like the bridge I
built in Louisiana swamps.

We stick them in the ground.
We'll bend them forward like this.

- [Dan] The support posts.
- All we have to do is build three or four of these

going out to the platform.

- Probably ten feet by five feet.
- Yeah. About ten feet.

So to create this platform
out on the the water,

the first thing we have to do is actually
make a structure for the walkway.

It's two branches coming
down fork pulled together.

And that actually
creates a structure

that does not sink into the mud.

Then we're gonna need 60-something
small sticks to make the platform.

[Dan] The amount of calories it
takes to do something like this is huge.

Yep, it takes a lot of work
to get that food rolling, but...

Man, I think if we do it
all it's gonna roll around.

[Dan] Yeah, we're moving
in the right direction.

[Waz] This is
definitely worth it.

swims. Doesn't look very far.

It's about a little bit
less than a football field,

but when you're
talking getting in water

that has anacondas,
piranha, caiman in it

and then you gotta deal
wit all the water vegetation.

I hope Steven doesn't pass out.
