The attitude, even the height fit

Also, fantastic voice.

So I was onto him for a while,

but then another name came up
when I really listened to the voice

and I thought of someone I know
very well.

Graceland was a clue.

I saw that, and I know that
you have a son called Memphis.

There was a mention of a big world.

You've sung it on my radio show.

You light up the world.

She's come to Australia before.

She's got a great voice.

But they were right.

It's an interesting journey.

What was your favourite song to do?

I liked the Meat Loaf one
that we did.

I thought that was
my best performance.

But, yeah, it was great.
I had a great time.

Did you relate to Bouncer at all?

I mean, have you ever worked a door?

Not really. I mean, I've been
kicked out of a lot of clubs, but...

Why did you choose to do this?

For me, like, I care so much
about performing,

I love performing so much,
but it's a lot of pressure.

And, like, I just thought it would
be a cool thing to experience

not going out there and...

..everyone knowing it was me
for a second.

And also, like, I've got
a little boy now

and, like, you know, I show him
pictures of it and, like,

he's already in love with it.

So I can't wait for them,
you know, to see it.

I was signed to a record company
that hated that I was gay,

and it was a desperate plea
for...to be loved.

I used to hate myself
because I was gay.

So, you know, I performed
at Mardi Gras twice.

Actually, the first time
I performed at Mardi Gras,

I hated who I was.

And so the reason I cried
when you told your story

was because I desperately needed
someone to say those words,

and no-one was saying them.

And now I meet people
that tell me

that that helped them
a little bit in their journey.

this is a family show.
