This is the place where you can win
some money if you get shafted before
the final treasurehunt.

All right, shall we crack on
with today's charity challenge?

I like to call this one
Water Balloon Dodgeball.

- Dodgeball.
I'm getting flashbacks to school,

and, honey, flashbacks aren't good.

- For this challenge, we will
play in rounds of one on one.

Each of you will begin
behind the start line.

On 'go', you will race into the
middle and grab a water balloon.

You will then need to make your way
back behind the start line and hurl
that water balloon at your opponent.

Your goal ―
to paint your opponent's T-shirt.

The first person to do that will
win and move on to the next round.

All right, are you ready
to dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge?

- Ooh yeah.

(LAUGHTER)

- I'm excited, because I'm always
the parent at the trampoline park

7-year-olds and is going hundies,

so I'm entering the game.

- You think, eh, like,
the host is gonna take it easy.

Eli has noticed something strange.

- All morning, Mel has just been
kind of walking around, staring
at different things in the camp.

And they're not interesting things;
they're not things that you would
wanna look at for aesthetic detail.

She's clearly covering and not well.

(INTRIGUING MUSIC)

- All morning, Mel has just been
kind of walking around, staring
at different things in the camp.

- MEL: So, my clue,
which I won last night...

READS: Where one seeks cover from
the wind and the rain, searching
here will not be in vain.

It's obviously in the camp.

I'm trying to be subtle.

Has anyone seen my drink bottle?

- It becomes very clear very
quickly to all of us that are
around the camp

she's on the hunt for this clue.

So...

we all start
very subtly trying to look.

- And then I sort of notice James and
Eli, they're starting to look around
at stuff too, and I think, oh.

Can you guys stop
looking for my clue? (LAUGHS)

- She clocks on.

- What are you doing, Eli?

- Looking under the bed
for your clue. (LAUGHS)
- (LAUGHS)

And then I started thinking
about it and think, well...

We could do a little deal.

- All right, yeah,
I'm open. I'm open.

- Open to some deals.
- Yeah.

Mel's kind of saying we won't put
each other up if we find the clue,

and I'm like, no, that's too far,
girl. I wanna put you up, sorry.

So I'm kinda like, I don't
think I wanna look for this clue.

But then Eli says...

- If I find it, I'll give it to you
in exchange for keeping each other
safe.

- OK. Yeah.
- OK.

- Hey, mateys. What's going on here?
(LAUGHTER)

- Well, this isn't awkward.

- We're just having some
conversations about things.
- Cool.

- Yep.

Why, do you want to have some

(LAUGHTER)

- So, I share it with them. I say,

not knowing what deal
that's gonna be.

underneath the boys' camp.

So I do a little army crawl,
(CHUCKLES) and at first, I'm looking
round, and I don't see anything.

And then...

I'm just like, why not go deeper?

So I get all the way in,
and then I see it.

It's just sitting there out in the
open, not even anything covering it.

Boom. It's mine. And then I walk out
in probably the least subtle way
with a huge lump in my pocket.

So we go for a really subtle walk (!)

- And then suddenly no one's
looking for the clue any more.

Well, if he doesn't tell us,
then we know something's changed.

- READS: 'Congratulations.

This individual immunity is only
becoming more important.

Kia ora koutou. Welcome back
to another individual face-off.

Now, after last night,
how important is a win here today?

- I need to win this because I wanna
feel safe and not have that unknown
going into the elimination arena.

I've been there twice, and
I don't really wanna go back again.

- Not keen on a third?
- Not keen on a third.
Third time's not the charm.

- With that being said,
shall we jump into the take?

- Yep.
- Yes.

- All right, here's how it's gonna
work ― this take will be a battle
of endurance.

You'll all start on the platform
holding a handle attached to a rope
behind your back.

The goal is simple ―
hold on as long as you can.

Every five minutes, we will turn the
pole, releasing more rope, further
cantilevering you out over the water,

making it harder to hold on.
Last person remaining on the
platform holding their rope wins.

- Another bloody endurance
challenge. We've had so many
of them. Whatever.

- This is obviously a really big
one today, guys, and the reward
is no different.

What is this exactly?

Well, the winner and the person of
their choosing will get picked up
from camp

and taken to a very remote swimming
spot. They will be taken by boat,

and they will get to spend
the afternoon swimming, eating and
drinking in those beautifulviews.

- (CHUCKLES)

Oh! It's gonna be a good platter!
So, yeah, I'm keen to win.

- Everyone, you ready?

- Oh, hang on. Sorry to
be a buzzkill, but, uh... got a
little something-something here.

- ELI: Oh no.

So I'm not gonna be winning today,

which means I don't have to
make the choice of having to put
Mel up, which means, hopefully,

one of the other four people who
I think will definitely put Mel
up will put Mel up.

And then bing, bang, bong ―

the clue is mine.

- All right, everybody else ready?
- Yep.
- Yes.

- Well, then, let's get it.

All right, battle of endurance ―
fighting for individual immunity.
Everybody, kua reri ― you ready?

- Ready!
- Yes!
- Timata!

Everyone assuming their first
position for the next five minutes.

Once that five minutes is up, we'll
release more rope. You'll be further
out over that water.

- If I was to say what my top skills
are in terms of challenges, it would
be the endurance challenges.

- With Eli sitting out, there are
only five other people you need to
beat to get that individual immunity.

- Looking good, team.

- This one is big today.

This is a real, like, turning point
in the game, and you wanna be on the
right side of it.

- MEL: I really wanna
win this face-off,

I just feel for security in the
game, and I really need to win
this one.

- All right, we've got two minutes to
go, then we're gonna release the rope
out further.

James readjusting the arms.
- Hey, no― no telling
the others what I'm doing.

- James ―
moving around a lot already.

Looking quite uncomfortable.

- 'OK, I've just gotta try
to not be the first to jump off.'

But that's looking unlikely.

All right, we've got 10 seconds,
then we're gonna let out the rope
further.

- This is where it gets real hard.

- All right, we're releasing you.
Everyone, hold on.

- Can't watch. Can't watch.

(MECHANICAL GEARS CREAK)

- Far out, this is a weird feeling.

- You're out further; you've
got more weight pulling you down.

You gotta hold on.

- ELI: You can do this.

- James and Laura starting
to show pain through their face.
How much longer have they got?

- It's all in your head, team.

- Laura in the water.

- Nice dive from Laura. She's first
in. Eli looks gutted about that.

- JAMES: Mm.

- Mel constantly
readjusting her hands.

- COURTNEY: Oh my God. (GASPS)

- Nick is the biggest competition
in this challenge for sure.

- People getting wobbly in the legs,
readjusting the feet.

for two and a quarter hours in
that other endurance challenge.

- James trying to stretch those arms,
find some relief.

Mel doing the same.

Nick showing some uncomfortability
in the face.

- Exciting, guys.

- I thought he had this. I'm sure
all of us thought he had this.

- No matter how much mental strength
you have, sometimes just... there's

I'm a hundy kgs. Everything I
could feel is on my forearms.

- We got James, Mel, Turia all
fighting for individual immunity.

- I do rep my forearms out quite
a bit, which I guess is a weird
muscle to work out, but I do.

- It really comes down to how bad
do you need that immunity tonight?

- Back of my mind, I'm thinking,
I don't want Turia to win this,
because she's put me up once before.

- I cannot have Mel win this,
because (CHUCKLES) sister's
gonna put me up, I think.

- Mel struggling with that grip.

- JAMES: Let's make it worse.

- Everyone looking directly
down into that water.

- (GROANS)

- Arms are just screaming.

- Oh my God!

I'm moving a lot. I'm trying to give
different muscles different times to
relax.

I'm out. Aargh!

- Mel off the platform.

- Yeah.

- Aargh, it's so close
but yet so far.

Frustrating. I'm frustrated.

- Down to James and Turia.

- Straight away I turn to James,
and I'm like...

Take me for a feed, James.
- Yup.

I just agree instantly. I don't even
care what the terms and conditions
are. I'm going, 'Yup,yup, yup.'

- Yep.

(CHEERING, LAUGHTER)

- Yay!

James has won. I'm not gonna get put
up, and I'm going for a feed. It's a
win-win for me.

- James takes out
this individual face-off!

And I knew she wouldn't wanna have

in a row.

Although, I'm sure Miss Turia

Not vulnerable as in scared to do
elim, but vulnerable as in I think

- I feel OK about James winning. He's
an original Tohora. We get on well.

I think Turia's probably saying,

You know, I get the feeling that,
you know, she's, like, gunning for
me now.

- It's a bit every man
for himself right now.
- LAURA: Yeah.

They are really, really tight.

picking all of us off.

- The topic of Eli and Laura

I think Eli and Laura, they are
best friends through and through.

- BREE: So, exactly
how close are we talkin'?

- He was also on my bridal party.
He was, like, my best man.

- I've known him since 2010.

- She's the last girl that
I kissed in a serious way, actually.

one relationship dynamic.

and that's when I realise you can

something I am now worried about.

But because they're best friends,

Here's how it's gonna work.

You'll both start with a pile
of wooden cards, a skinny beam with
a hoop at the end and threeballs.

You will start by placing the
cards along the beam, creating a
track leading towards the hoop.

You will then roll your balls down
that track with the aim of getting
them through the hoop.

If your ball is knocked
off any of the cards, you must
reset them before trying again.

First person to get all three of
their balls through the hoop wins.

Loser ― going home, missing out on
the $100,000 grand prize for their
charity.

Nick, Mel,
