and it was agreed that I was
to leave the house.

I didn't really have anywhere to go.

So my best friend, Becca,

and her family were the ones
who took me in.

And that's something that
I can never thank them enough for.

The current love of my life
is definitely the gym.

I spend the majority of
my time in there.

too much to be naturally slim.

I've always struggled
with my weight,

but past few years,

I've lost nearly 8st,

Before I lost all my weight,

I definitely would look
for validation through men,

that I was good enough,
that I was still attractive

that a little bit of hope.

Throughout my whole life,
I've been called fat and ugly.

My biggest concern is
the fear of rejection.

Why did you want to lose weight
in the first place?

It was affecting me in all
areas of my life,

treated you before the weight loss?

I used to be an athlete
back in the day, in diving.

I was about six years old
when I started,

did that all the way up till 17.

It's amazing, diving.

When you're sort of flying
through the air, and then,

hitting the water at
such fast speed.

I think the Olympics was
on everyone's radar.

But unfortunately, I injured my back
hitting the water slightly funny,

so I had to stop.

It's all I knew for
a good couple of years.

But finding a new sport, going
into the gym and body-building,

that was like a new lease of life.

I may look a little bit scary
on the outside,

but on the inside,
I really am a massive Teddy bear.

So, four years ago,
my dad unfortunately had a stroke.

My mum called me, and she was like,
"Your dad's just fallen."

I was like, "Oh, right, OK."

Soon as I walked through the door,
I realised he'd had a stroke,

and he was laying at
the bottom of the stairs.

He was literally just on
his way to work.

He was in hospital for
about six months.

He's now paralysed.

It's definitely changed
everything in the family,

and, er, yeah.

I decided to then take over
my dad's window-cleaning business.

I don't think I would've joined
the window-cleaning business

if my dad did not have the stroke.

It's made our relationship
a lot stronger,

and I actually cherish the time
the time more with him now.

So, as well as my dad's health,

my mum's been through
the works as well.

Literally, two weeks before
my dad had a stroke,

she just got the all-clear
from breast cancer.

Never got a day off, did we? No.

doing all this stuff for us.

Make sure you got your shopping,
got your electric, got your gas.

The gas, yeah. Gotta make sure
you've got your priorities.

Dealing with it for me
has been tough.

And we do the best we can.

How important is it for your parents
to see you get married?

I think they just want
to see me happy.

It's going to be something for
them to smile about.

The last couple of years
has been rough.

Something to look forward to,

and for them to see me settle down
with someone and be happy,
