maybe to the rest
of my sisters here,

Gerry seems
to have really formed

a connection with Theresa.

what I'm jealous of?

Her damn clothes are so tiny.

That's my bag for, like,
my underwear, you know?

Theresa's had a date,
a one-on-one with Gerry,

the only one so far, and she

we were doing a talent show,

Today gives me the opportunity
to see a different side

of their personalities.

I think it's gonna be
a whole bunch of fun.

- I'm feeling pretty good.

I've brought along a friend.

It's a very beloved member
of Bachelor Nation.

because the winner
of the talent show

This is the first date
I've had with Gerry,

and I really want
to stand out.

I've never done a talent show.

The first lady spent $800
on clothes,

and $200 she put in the bank.

and put $800 in the bank.

So the question is,
which one did he marry?

the amount of talent

that we didn't even know

My name is Ellen,
and my talent is teaching

sex ed
to middle school students.

[all cheering]
- OK.

- Health education teacher
is the greatest job

in the whole world.

It really is,
especially middle school.

You say, "Middle school?"
[groans]

No. It's really cool.

So I want this side of the room

Hello, everyone.

My name is Joan and I'm from
Rockville, Maryland.

I am kind of scared
to be on stage,

so I am totally out
of my comfort zone.

But, Gerry, I want you to know
that I composed a poem for you,

and it's titled, "I Just Hope
I Don't Vomit on Your Shoes."

[laughter]

So here goes.

The limo finally came
to a stop,

and they told me to get out.

"Really?
Gerry is that many steps away?"

is all I could shout.

A long, tight dress
and 4-inch high heels

that already started to hurt,

my only goal was to reach Gerry

without planting myself
in the dirt.

[laughter]

Now each time I get the chance
to talk with our sweet Gerry,

my hands shake a little less

because he makes things
not so scary.

- So as I stand here today

without a talent to expose,

I recite this poem
to you, Gerry,

because I really just want
another rose.

I hope you can see
that being on this stage

could really give me the blues,

and that you'll give me
some extra point

for just not vomiting
on your shoes.

- I loved being married,

so I tried to start dating
after, like, a year.

And I feel like maybe I tried
to find it

maybe a little too soon.

But I'm at 2 1/2 years,
and I feel like I'm ready.

I had a really hard time
leaving home.

I have a lot of
responsibilities back at home.

I have a daughter
who just had a baby

15 days ago, a C-section.

Not an easy delivery,
not an easy baby.

But, like, for the first time
in my life,

I thought, I am really gonna
do something for myself

because I think I'm ready,
and this is an opportunity

that I just can't let go.

And especially since,
like, I saw you--

- I need a little handhold
on this.

- I know. I know.
I agree with you.

So I've missed something,

I think,
that's really important.

And I want to tell you
that I'm as excited

to be spending time with you

How did you meet your husband?

- At a camp in the Catskills.

We were 10 years old.

to a long and really good

25 years.

my authentic, genuine self.

I can let the guard down
a little bit.

It was tremendous.

There's something missing.

We had a phenomenal date.

It gets more difficult
to see him form connections

because I really don't know
what he has with other women.

going into a Rose Ceremony

without a rose.

I really want everybody
to get a fair shot,

but our date was
off the charts.

Like, really incredible.
- Yeah.

- It was amazing.
It was absolutely amazing.

We didn't stop talking.

We were smiling the whole time.

about the future.

- When you put any group
of people together,

people start saying things.

It's almost like
they can't help themselves,

and you start
seeing people doing things

as my mother would have said,

the best decorum.

Well, I was at the point

I think she thinks
she's got this.

Today,
there's a cocktail party,

there's a Rose Ceremony,
and I'm nervous, you know,

because I don't know
how many women are going home.

I don't want to be one of them.

When you two get a rose
tonight, if I don't...

because possession's
9/10 of the law.

Gerry, I'm staying.
- I think that's hysterical.

You're staying, though.

- I come across as this really
strong person, which I am.

But Theresa, you can tell

I'm really struggling.

It's the tension
that we're dating just one man.

So apparently, everybody thinks

that I've been boasting about

that I have a connection

It's just very unfortunate
because having had

a one-on-one date with Theresa,

I found her to be
very tender-hearted.

You know, if in your heart
you don't believe

that you were boastful,
you don't believe that you were

doing anything to hurt someone,

then I think
you should let it go.

this disturbance,

That's the one area
that I think could be

a real stumbling block for us.
