and the speakeasies.

During one such raid on a
brewery on Chicago's west side,

an important meeting was taking
place on the other side of town

in the plush Silk Stocking
District of Chicago.

Jake Kurowski, well-known
Chicago restaurateur,

watched curiously as Vinnie
and Nick were in the act

of settling their differences
about Kurowski's territory;

though not exactly as
Frank Nitti had indicated.
