take away the tool

so they can't use it, so

I mean, we took literally
everything else from them.

They're more survivalists,
so they're playing their game.

MISSY: They're having to survive
harder than we are, honestly.

The conundrum is, Team Survive
won't hit the drum.

This is more than just fighting
in the Arena.

It's definitely fighting
for your life.

If that's how they're gonna
play, I don't wanna do that.

I'm not gonna enjoy it.
It's not worth it to me.

KEALI'I: Let's go coconut
hunting.

Kay.

KEALI'I: It was hard
without water last night.

After forfeiting the bag,
we have about

2 1/2 mugs of water,
so we're rationing it out

as well as collecting
green coconut.

NATHANIEL: These seem too small
to have anything in 'em.

Yeah, but you know what?

We're in a survival situation.
Let's just grab 'em

and we'll find out.

It makes life so much easier
to transport

what seems like a whole
gallon of water in a bag.

But survival, it's not about
making life easy.

It's about improvising,
adapting, and overcoming.

So I'm just doing
what I need to do

to keep Team Survive going.

This is all the stuff
Christina collected.

NATHANIEL: Yeah.

People can't really go
for much more

than three days or so

without any water whatsoever.

And there's pretty dire
consequences

to severely dehydrating
your body.

KEALI'I: I say we head back
and crack these open

and check for fluid,
get some water into us.

Man, it is taxing.

[sighs] Just every day
feels like it's like

adding a day.

It's not subtracting.
It's just getting further.

I know that the end
is in sight,

but it's still eight days.

Like, I can't keep going
and not eating, like--

I mean, it's definitely
getting...heavier.

LIBBY: [sobbing] I hate it,
'cause I'm so close.

But at the same time,

-just, like...
J: We know.

LIBBY: [sobbing] Sorry.

I'm tired of it all.
Like, hungry.

I am cold.

I'm done.

I've been crying
this whole entire journey,

so it's not anything
out of the norm,

but it's a different cry,
it's a sad cry.

AMAL: No, hell, no.

The mental game is super tough.

It's not like when
you're out by the beach

and you're thinking
happy thoughts.

It's completely the opposite.

You're thinking
all the negative thoughts,

and not used to being hungry,

not used to sleeping
in uncomfortable conditions,

not used to being
uncomfortably cold.

That's when all your demons
are just coming at you

left and right, and today
I think it's hitting Libby

more than anybody.

Well, we are all in support
if you wanna go.

We get it
if that's what you need to do.

LIBBY: Yeah.

NATHANIEL: It's a minor haul.

This would be a perfect
drinking one.

We'll break into these and get
some fluid and some meat.

As long as we continue
to go out every morning

and scavenge and forage
for green coconut,

we'll always have a great
way to hydrate.

We gotta keep on keeping on,
right?

It's a totally different game
than on "Survivor."

You don't get bowls of rice
out here.

It's up to you to make
everything happen.

Team Fight's strategy
and Team Survive's strategy

is two totally different
mindsets.

They're here being greedy
for the money,

and we're here to just last
the 25 days together.

Eight more days.
No dry bag.

No canteen.

We've got coconut,
so that's been our go-to, but...

definitely changes
the game a bit.

KEALI'I: Yeah.

Oh, guys, here you go.

-That's the one.

STEPHANIE: You know, coconut
water has all the electrolytes

that we need out here.

It's not the same as water,
but it's better than no water.

NATHANIEL: In most true
survival situations,

we wouldn't have a canteen.

We wouldn't have a dry bag.
We'd be lucky to have a tool.

-KEALI'I: Yeah.
-That's true.

KEALI'I: Ooh, that's how
it should taste.

STEPHANIE: Mm-hmm.

[energetic music]

Libby's going home right now.
We need you.

-What?
-Libby's going home,

so we need you to say goodbye.

She decided it's her time.

17 days together,
we all are a close-knit family.

And it's just tough.

The dynamic's definitely
gonna change.

LIBBY: I woke up with a lot
of pain and hunger,

and I know in my heart
that it's my time to leave.

a lot, the ups and the downs.

Are you sure you wanna give
all that up right now?

You're so close.

I know that it was
an emotional decision,

but I just wasn't anymore,

and I couldn't let the team
carry me all the way to the end.

I will say this:

This game was way more than
I ever could have imagined.

It's not that easy, even if
you do have all the tools.

We have the water
and the shelter,

and we're still struggling.

But today's the day
that I have to leave.

I didn't achieve
what I came here for.

I want to learn how to be
a better survivalist.

MAKANI: Eat all the food for us,
all the ice cream.

MISSY: Libby leaving was
pretty devastating

to all of us,
and I'm sad that this is

the ending of our time together.

I mean, Libby's done
so much work for us.

She's held us,
she's cried with us.

MAKANI: Now that
it's the four of us,

I guess I'm the...
kinda the odd one out,

like the non-fighter
of the group.

-KEALI'I: You ready?
-NATHANIEL: Yes, sir!

Buddy system all the way.

KEALI'I: Every time we get
challenged for a tool

or a resource, we lose it.

But I think that drives you

to now wanna go out
and find food.

The ridge line.

NATHANIEL: Better than
going inland?

-KEALI'I: Yeah.
-Kay.

KEALI'I: Couple days ago,
I set up a buncha snares.

So today, taking Nathaniel
on a hunt.

I would like to get
a wild boar.

We need to get protein,
and we need to get it quick.

-Uh-huh.
-That's where I put the trap.

-Okay.
-So let's just be quiet while--

[boar squeals]

Oh, there's a boar right there,
dude, right on the side.

On Oahu, I did grow up
hunting wild boar.

There's always a danger.
I mean, when they get cornered,

they will charge at you.

[suspenseful music]

-Right behind the ear.

There's many ways of humanely
harvesting a wild boar

out in the wild.
We need to process it quickly

and get it back to the team.

I know it's given its life
so we can sustain our life,

so I wanna make sure
I do right by that wild pig

and respect it.

Team Survive is eating well.

We continue to respect
the island,

and it has rewarded us
with this wild boar meat.

-NATHANIEL: Yeah, man.

SARAH: Yes, we do?

-STEPHANIE: Wait, wait, what?
-Are you serious?

-SARAH: No way!
-Oh, my God!

We're gonna get a barbecue
tonight!

I'm gonna have a meltdown
and do like a happy dance.

This needs to get cookin'
as quickly as possible.

STEPHANIE: Okay, okay,
let's do that.

It's gonna be so good,
and we need it!

-Here we go.
-NATHANIEL: That's great.

-Right there.
-All right!

NATHANIEL: Good job, team.

[moans]

-[overlapping chatter]
-Oh, look at that.

KEALI'I: Dinner is served.

We've been smoking and roasting
the wild boar meat.

It is cooked to perfection.

STEPHANIE: Smells good.

KEALI'I: Dig in.

-STEPHANIE: All right, guys.
-NATHANIEL: Bam!

-Cheers!
-KEALI'I: Oh, man.

SARAH: There's nothing
like this.

That's so good.

Literally, the pinnacle...

of survival success.

NATHANIEL: We got the rest
of the time here to eat this.

[animals calling]

[squeals]

Aah!

What the [bleep].

I've been the main person
at the water

for the past three or four days.

But something fell on me
in the middle of the night.

Oh, my God.

I can't, I can't,
I can't, I can't.

I didn't wanna get bit,

and I was scared,
'cause I couldn't see it.

So I went over to shelter.

[Bleep].

SARAH: What do you wanna
do with the head?

NATHANIEL:
We're going over by the water.

We're gonna wake 'em up
with the head.

-SARAH: [grunting]
-Yeah.

You'll do that, they'll
hopefully freak out and run off,

and then we'll take water.

SARAH: Nathaniel and I
hatch a plan

to steal the water resource
in the middle of the night.

Gnarly.

We took the head of the boar,

put it on a stick
and made a puppet

so that we could creep over

and scare the pants off Makani

to get her to run away so that
we can grab the totem.

NATHANIEL: I don't need
to touch it.

I already touched it.
It's pretty gross.

[Sarah snickers]

[snarling]

[whispering] I want to touch it.

[grunting]

[suspenseful music]

[Sarah grunts and snorts]

SARAH: We're creeping with the
pig puppet, and we realize...

nobody's even there!

-SARAH: You got it?
-Yeah.

We didn't need the pig puppet!

We coulda just come
and taken it!

[whispering] Oh, yes!

We [bleep] got water back.

[softly] Hoo-rah!

MISSY: All right.

[tense music]

-NATHANIEL: Good morning.
-MISSY: Ha ha ha ha.

Me laughing at him and just
giving him the water resource

as if it's nothing...
[continues chuckling]

has to get into his head.

Yo, Amal, come over.
He did it.

-J: Who did it?
-AMAL: What?

-What happened?
-They took water.

AMAL: Who did?

-Nathaniel.
-Oh, he took it?

-Yeah.
-Makani was supposed to

watch the water last night,
but at some point

in the middle of the night,
she came to the shelter,

so then the other tribe
came by and stole the water.

The timing does seem strange,
you know what I'm saying?

Unless they all already
planned it ahead of time.

MISSY: With Makani?

AMAL: Like why today,
of all days,

she decides she doesn't
wanna stay there?

Normally, she's super, super
anal about leaving the water,

like she won't even leave it
for a minute.

So everything happened just
a little too conveniently.

MISSY: Did you work with them?

-Huh?
-AMAL: You didn't tell them

yesterday that you would
leave the water?

-No.
-'Cause Nathan took the water.

The [bleep]?

MAKANI: No.

We're about to make
a big scene.

-We're about to kick you out.
-Yo...

All 'cause I went for a walk
this morning?

MISSY: What else is there?

You were the one
watching the water.

I've been over there
for three days straight.

AMAL: We know how long
you've been there,

and all those three days,
we told you

you didn't have to be there.

So don't sit there and act like
we forced you to be there.

MISSY: I need five minutes
without her in my space.

I just feel like y'all

MAKANI: Libby left yesterday,

and I thought that Missy or Amal
could try to take me out.

This might just be an excuse
to do that.

MISSY: There's enough time
to take the water back

and continue everything
that we have planned.

Amal and J and I have
talked about

this three-person alliance
making it to the end,

and Makanki doesn't belong
in that three.

We'll get the water back.

We'll put two people
in the ring,

and we'll make sure
one of them taps.

Survivalists!

-KEALI'I: Ohh...
-STEPHANIE: Are you serious

-right now?
-KEALI'I: The drum. Let's go.

Survivalists!

There was fear
when I heard the drum.

I don't know what's happening.

As you guys know, being on this
island has been demanding,

brutal, and has pushed many of
you to your breaking point.

And now, there's only
eight of you.

-Libby tapped out.
-What?

And I sounded the war drum.

Over the last two weeks,

you guys have learned a lot
about yourself and each other.

You divided into two camps based
on your survival strategies.

Half of you rely
on your survival skills,

finding food,
and the other half

use competitive tactics
to leverage up what you need.

However, when it comes
to survival of the fittest,

eventually, you must eliminate

the threat that is holding
you back from your goal.

From this point forward,
we will be introducing

the Existence challenge.

AMAL: It's a twist.

This will be a final test
to see how you fare

when your very existence
on this island

is placed on the line.

That means in addition
to the resources and tools,

you can now challenge
another player directly

to be banished from this island.

Oh, man, Akbar
throws the curve ball.

The rules work exactly the same
as the other challenges.

However, whoever loses,
regardless of who called it,

will be eliminated.

It's like something
from 200 years ago,

real tribal warfare.

I wish you luck, and may you
strive to survive.

AMAL: Hell, yeah.

SARAH: The competitors
want to compete,

and they want to win.

And I, frankly, am...

kind of an easy target.

NATHANIEL: That really puts
a damper on the day.

STEPHANIE: You know what?
We got fuel.

-Yeah.
-That boar is fuel

every single day
for all of us.

It doesn't change the fact
that my muscles

are half the size
of all of theirs.

But you're gonna be more
charged up than they will.

The days are dwindling down,

you know, we don't have
many days left,

so protein is everything.

You know, we can eat
as many coconuts as we want

which is nice to sustain
our calorie count,

but having some protein's
what's gonna give us

the strength that we need
out here.

KEALI'I: We either try,

or we wait for them
to pick us off.

-What do you wanna do?
-SARAH: Try.

KEALI'I: Okay, then, let's eat,
drink, and be merry,

and then whatever happens
happens.

We're still in this.

This whole time, we're like,
how are we gonna

get a bunch of other people
off the island

and share all this money?
The Existence challenge

is such a game-changer.

All of our fights
still have to be very concise.

But they would be

is stirred up.

I mean, the winds have
picked up significantly.

It feels like Category 1
hurricane.

Morale can get really low.

I'm feeling just defeated.

Rain starts to come in sideways
and it just won't let up.

Cold, we're shivering.
It hurts.

MISSY: The Arena is the best
strategic way

to win this game,

but if you make me cold enough,
I could tap out.

I need warmth.
I mentally and physically

need to push through it.

[J groans]

SARAH: I was thinking about
the end of this competition,

with the twist.

I might have played this game
a little differently

if I knew that that was
how it was gonna be.

I don't want the bullies

So I think I'm gonna have to

some kind of a strategy.

Last night, it rained more
than all the nights combined.

So I am shocked to be the first
to the drum this morning.

Now that the Existence challenge
exists,

I figure I might as well just
grab the bull by the horns.

MISSY: Well, bitch ass

Makani is the only person

who I believe I could take
in combat.

And when I do, she will not
feel too bad about it.

I honestly could not believe

STEPHANIE: The nights
are really rough.

KEALI'I: Last night was
the most I've ever coughed.

STEPHANIE: Coughed.
It was bad.

We had a really rough night.

These conditions, they've just
taken their toll on me.

KEALI'I: You know,
jumping on that wild boar,

fighting it, gutting it,
processing it,

carrying it to Team Survive
was just taxing.

Well, having that
Existence challenge come up

was the nail
in the coffin for me.

I'm gonna tap out today.

[dramatic musical sting]

My body just finally said,
hey, man, enough is enough.

You can't keep doing this.

So made the decision
to tap out.

Leaving you all
that wild boar meat.

SARAH: Keali'i has done
a little bit of damage.

He has been a crucially
important part of this team.

And I know that both
Stephanie and I

can continue in this game.

STEPHANIE:

AMAL: It's nice to be dry.

MISSY: That was the worst
night I've ever had.

I just feel like my body's
like shutting down a little bit.

AMAL: How much water
have you had to drink?

MAKANI: As much as I could.

AMAL: You wanna take a walk?

I was a little frustrated
with Makani today.

Right now, we're still kind of
continuing on

what we've been doing to kind of
eliminate everybody else

on the other team.

And I think once everybody
else is eliminated,

I'll have a more clear view
of what I wanna do

with who's on my side.

just to get through it.

I think Amal was really quick

I feel like
she's trying to prevent

like a back-stabbing situation.

I don't wanna

My nights have been sleepless.

I've just been...on edge.

whether or not I'm starving,

like these expectations

to make people proud.

I thought about going back
in the ring and fighting

and I thought about
who I would take.

just making myself proud.

down mountains,

so I know what my body
is capable of.

And I kept fighting till
I couldn't fight anymore.

This island is tough.

There's a lotta pressure
on me right now.

Tonight is a very important
fight.

If I lose the cave
and all of its resources

and my shelter and all of
its resources

will be up for grabs.

Team Survive
was always kind of scattered.

I don't think we ever shared
the same kind of bond

like Team Fight has,
and that's sad.

That's all I wanted.
I wanted friendship.

And here I am...alone.

deep and primitive

within all of us

that gives us the need
to survive.

That's what we're meant to do.

it made me feel stronger

that characters like that
