All language subtitles for 3. Dynamic project switching Project Manager Kolder Creative

So one really important thing for me in
my workflow

is to be able to dynamically switch
between project files whenever I want to.

This has been very useful in situations
like when I'm putting together

a minor video or maybe a drone reel
where I'm sourcing footage

from a bunch of different project files,
bringing it all into one project file

and then piecing together
a main edit there.

The ability to have multiple project
files open at once is very important.

And in this lesson, I'm going to show
you guys exactly how we can do that.

Now you can see I created this new my Year
2021 database over here to the left.

I don't have any project files in here
yet, but basically what I'm going to do

is just copy over to other project files
from other databases.

So let's go into this magic three database
here.

Let's select this project file here
and let's say command C,

and let's go back into my year 2021
here, Command V, I'm going to paste it in.

It's going to take a second.

And so I've pasted in that project file
from a different database.

Now let's go into another database
and copy over a different project file.

So let's go into this Mexico one here.

I mean, don't save.

Now you can see if I right
click on the project file,

there's no option for copy,
which is interesting.

But if you just select on command C,
it'll copy it

over my year 2021 database Command
V, Let's paste it in here.

It'll take a second.

And now we have both of these

separate project files
in the same database.

Now what I can do is right click
anywhere in this project file area

here and turn on dynamic
project switching.

Now, when I open the project manager,
we can see that

both of these project files
here have these check marks on them

and that just lets me know
that both of these are currently open,

but I don't want this untitled project
to be open.

I want the Magic three one
and the Mexico project to be open.

So I'm going to click on this one here

and now

I've also open up that Mexico
project file as well.

If I had shift one again,

we can see that all three of these project
files are now open.

Now the way that we can quickly switch
between the project files is right up

here.

So this is the current project file
that I'm working on Mexico down in Chi.

Those are my two friends.

If I click this dropdown arrow, I can
select any of the other project files

so I can quickly go over to Magic three
if I want to.

Just like that.

And it's that easy.

This is huge.

I love how simple they made it.

It's great.

We have this dropdown over here

to go through all of our timelines
in the currently selected project file

and if we want to just quickly

go to another project file,
we just jump up right here

and select the other project file
that we want to dive into.

This is huge
because I can very easily copy videos

from this project file over here.

Command C jump over to another
project file that's already open.

Go to any point that I want in this
timeline, paste all those clips in.

This is just a really great way
for me to dynamically work

between different project files
in a very quick way.

And this is just a huge, huge deal
when it comes to piecing together

videos like my ears
or any kind of montage videos where

I'm sourcing clips
from a bunch of different project files.

Basically, all I'll do

is just copy all those project files
into a new database over here,

and then I can just open up all of them
and quickly switch between them,

play around with all the files,
copy them over to other project files.

And it's just that easy.

Da Vinci has nailed it with this dynamic
project switching.

I definitely recommend
you implement this into your workflow.

For me, it's been a huge benefit,
but that's it for this video.
