In this video we will apply different filters to data in a low cheap buy you can store a large amount

of data in Excel worksheets you may not want to work with all that data at the same time.

You can use the data filtering feature to filter out the data.

You do not want to view or analyze in Chicago or cheat.

Select a cell in the range in the editing group click sort and filter select filter in the list.

Excel displays a filter at all at the right edge of the first cell in each column of the data added

to indicate that the Excel auto filter capability is now active.

Excel treats the cells in the columns as a range and assumes that the first row is the header.

Click the filter arrow in cell F3.

Select number filters please note that the number filters option will be replaced by other options based

on the data in your column.

For example if your column has dates Excel displays date filters option in place of no filters click

click the filter at all and cell F3 and click clear filter from sales amount in the dropdown list to

remove the filter Excel remove the filter next let us display information only for October month click

the filter ATL in cell A3 uncheck the select all checkbox click in the search box and type October Excel

displays October below the search box click the check box next to October if not already selected click

Okay.

Excel now displays data for October only click the filter arrow in say A3 and click clear filter from

month in the dropdown list Excel removes the filter to remove the filter arrows from the data range

click salt and filter and then click filter Excel removes the print that adds.
