All language subtitles for 7. How I Colour Grade My Drone Footage Using LUTS

Everybody welcome back.

It is Brad again from Bradie to dot tv.

In this video I'm going to show you how easy it is to make your logs and your drone footage and you

GoPro footage look really awesome by literally a couple of clicks of the mouse.

Right.

So we're going to add what they call a lot of preset or a look up table to your drone footage to make

it look really really really awesome.

I'm going to show you how to do that in this video.

So on your screen now is the before that top my clip looks like before the lot.

This is after the lot has been applied.

So it looks very very different.

And if you don't like that look before and after then you can change it to something else.

Right.

So that's before that's after.

But we can pick any kind of lot that we want to use depending on the look and the feel that we want

to create now of Lokes think of it like Instagram and photos and pre-sets so filters you know you have

a set of filters that come with Instagram and you can choose what you want to create a certain look

and feel to your photos.

This is no different in the video world.

So I'm going to show you how to do it.

Let's do it.

So I've got here a sequence set up and I've got a number of adjustment layers here.

On one track and I've got all my drawing clips on another track here.

And I've got if I just scrub this real quick I've got some Phillipine stuff and then I've got my last

clip which was shot in Valley of the gods in Utah.

So what I'll be doing is all be applying the lot or the look up table directly inside the adjustment

layer itself.

And by doing that it's going to it's going to affect the clips underneath.

So if I applied into this adjustment layer the clip underneath it is going to be influenced by that

adjustment.

All right.

So let's do it.

This is where the fun begins.

Now I want to make sure that you're looking at the same screen.

Lay out that I am so make sure you've got Colus like that up here as your workspace and click on window

and then go down to elementary scope's sorry.

Click on the Matricula.

Click on the miters scopes right now.

We'll do that later.

Make sure the Matricula is ticked.

And over on the right hand side you'll see it appear as a panel so say limited color up here and then

you'll have a number of options tabs like this.

You your basic correction.

Creative right curves and so forth.

And so what we're concerned about is clicking on create.

This is what I do.

Now some people go basic correction and put the lot in here.

I don't do that.

I go to creative and where it says look and it says None.

I hit the drop down there and then I have any number of LUTs or look up tables or looks to pick from.

Now what I suggest you do is just click on different ones and experiment with them and see what looks

nice and and and go from there.

Alternatively you can as part of this video you can actually download free lots and install them into

Adobe Premiere Pro which I've supplied is as part of this video series and I'll show you how to install

them.

And I'll do this by.

Alternatively you can buy lots which is what I've done and install them and use lots that you've purchased.

But I suggest playing with the free ones that I've supplied with the video series first before he's

guys stop buying them.

So let's have a look and click on browse.

And he got all of the lots that I've purchased as part of a pack and you'll see lots of what they call

cube files and they find lots for rec 7 or 9 and LOEG 32.

Now without going into the detail they just color they're just different color profiles depending on

how you shot the footage.

So it can get very technical but if I go to my Drona settings for example if you are shooting with a

drone you'll see color profiles listed.

Kind of like this.

Right.

This is the maverick you'll see day log and days like which are very common color profiles used for

drones.

If you've seen any drone content then pretty much all of it was shot with these and the like.

But I have experimented with the log.

I will do a separate video on color profiles for drone shooting later on if you want and I'll do it

for you.

But depending on what color profile you selected.

So for example if you like the log in your drone then when you go to premi approach and you apply your

preset oil a lot you'll see LOEG 32 there.

Right.

And you can just like that as opposed to wreck 7 or 9 which is a different color profile.

So if we get it back here I'll talk about the different color profiles in another video for the drone

but for me I used a sound alike for my drawings and my drawing content and then I just select what I

want.

Right.

And then experiment so EMD 31 is one of my favorite ones are double click on that and you'll see automatically

the lot has been applied inside my adjustment.

So if I turn my adjustment light off you'll see the before after before after.

So you can see that the left has given the clip a very warm feel to it.

But what I also do is once I've applied the lot here this is technically not color grading.

You've really got to go in afterwards and make adjustments to it.

Now if you find that when you apply for example and Thirty-One to this adjustment layer you find that

it's just too wide too intense.

Blown right out.

You can actually decrease the intensity using the intensity slide up look just like that.

If you want more intensity you can bump it up and you can see that just over the top is not right.

And you can bring the intensity back just like that.

And then you can go back to basic correction and then you can make your standard correction in here

exposure contrast highlights depending on the look and feel that you're going for such a ration right.

He said if you want.

So it's up to you.

Just depends on what.

There's no right or wrong.

But it just depends on what you are looking to recreate in the people watching your videos.

Do you want them to feel like tropical cool feel vibe to your videos or do you want a doc you know intense

emotion recreated in the people watching of logs.

So in terms of how to install a lot now the Web site that I've purchased my lots from I'm not sponsored

by this company right now I'm shooting this video.

I've been using Isiah's lots for a while now.

They're the lots that you just saw before.

And I purchased these and I've been.

So that one right here.

But as part of this video series all inclusive free lots for you to download.

But in terms of installing it's pretty easy.

Click on creative and then you go into our show you go browse.

And so you've got here and I'll actually include the fall to path.

You could see draw.

In my case C-Drive program files and then we're looking for Adobe.

And then we're looking for premi pro CC 20:19 and then we're looking for a follicle Demetri and then

lots and then what we do is where it's as creative as we throw in two exactly what you saw in the list

over here.

And then you just put in your Lutts directly into here and and then basically just copy them straight

into this folder here.

That's pretty much it.

And then once you've done that you have to close the Adobe Premiere Pro re-opening it and then when

you go over to the metric Khala it drop down you'll see your Lots will now be in the list here.

And that's pretty much it.

Like it's very easy to do.

And it just really comes down to what you know what you're trying to achieve but there's no right or

wrong.
