And welcome back to lb.

Premiere pro, where today in the
software we're going to learn about the

pen tools and all the shape tools inside

our tool pile.

So let's not waste any time and get
right into it.

Ok?

All right.

So we know that the pencil is located
in our tool panel right over here.

it is over here, right below our slip
tool, as you can clearly see, ok.

So what is our pencil and what do we
use it for?

The pencil and Adobe, premiere pro is a
versatile to use for creating and

manipulating keyframes

on the timeline.

Over here, it allows you to create
precise, customizable

changes

in the properties over time, such as
adjusting audio levels, applying

effects, our animating motion.

All right.

So in order to use the pen, to

let me explain you the steps you need
to do, ok?

So first we know, we have to click on
the pencil icon in the tool panel, or

you can press the keyboard chart, cut

p on your keyboard to activate the
tool.

All right.

Then we will basically use it to create
keyframes

on our

timeline panel.

So for doing that, we have to position
our cursor over the property that we

want to modify on the timeline.

So before I do that.

I want to double click this

with our

selection tool, because

we can also

not do that with our

pencil, as you can play to see.

Now, after that, we have our tomnails
up here.

Now what you can also do is basically
go over here and just select video at thumbnails.

That way it will not

change the display that is

being over, that is being shown over
here to us.

So after that,

let's say we wanted to create a
keyframe.

In order to do that, we just position
our cursor

again over the property that we want to
modify.

And now you can see that our cursor has
changed into a plus sign.

All right.

Now,

if I click on this part of my video, it
will basically

help us to create a transition which is
basically like a fade in and fade out

transition.

Ok?

Now

we can go over here basically and click

over here on the straight line to make
our keyframes.

As you can see, there's a blue dot over
here.

Let's create another keyframe.

Now we can also move our keyframes like
this.

As you can clearly see,

I'm moving it left and right using my
mouse, by holding the left mouse button.

All right.

And here you can see that I have four
keyframes.

All right?

Now in order to create a fade.

In

transition, we have to first go over
here,

put it down

all the way below.

After that, you can see that in the
program monitor, it is showing me a

black screen.

This is because it is

reduced its opacity to zero percent,
which is why we cannot see the video.

All right.

So afterward, what I'd like to do is
basically gradually increase the second

point.

So i'll do that.

Then over here, I want to

create a total drop also.

So i'll do that.

Let's add under the keyframe over here.

Now let's go over here, let's add under
the keyframe.

basically play the video and see the

transition effect.

clearly fades in and paids out with

perfect transition.

And it looks pretty good.

So now that I showed you how to create
transitions on your video using the

pencil, i'll show you how to play
transitions with your audio now it's

just the same thing as with the video.

We'll just click over here to create
keyframes,

and then we can easily move it up and
down.

Now,

before I reduce the opacity of my video
by moving it up and down,

but for audio, what this will do is
basically reduce the volume that is

present in my video.

So if I totally turn it down, you will
notice that

my video has no audio at all.

Ok?

So what I'm going to do now is
basically create keyframes over here so

that I can easily have some

effect.

All right, then create a keyframe here,
here and here,

go.

Let's create another keyframe here

so that it gradually goes up and
there's not like a sudden jump.

You need to make sure when you're using
keyframes for your

video or audio, you need to make sure
that it is a gradual increase, not like

a sudden increase.

That will be a lower quality of video
edit.

video and see what it sounds like,

video's audio has also been affected by

our pencil using the keyframes that we
just put inside

the line over here.

So this is how you basically create

a transition of audio and video using
the pencil.

Now i'll adjust your keyframe values,
or even change the way your blending

options are.

Ok, in order to change the way your
blending options are, you just have to

go over here,

ok,

click on the keyframe, basically,

alright click on the keyframe.

And afterwards, you have the right
click on the keyframe.

When your cursor shows this dot over
here for the keyframe sign, right

click, and then select the

type of

effect that you want to put inside your
keyframe let's put in autobezier.

And afterwards, if I play the video,

you'll notice that slowly

it has affected the video.

It has become a little bit of a curve.

Ok, now, in order to increase that
effect, you just have to go over here.

And here you'll see that we have this

whole stop inside circle.

We can use this to increase our
decreased effect of the autobezier.

Now, when I am done with this, if I
play it

now, you can see that this is what
happens.

We can also go ahead and then totally
make it flap, just like that.

And now, if I play it right after the
first clap,

you'll notice that our video comes in

with a bit of a delay, giving us a
better effect, rather than just having

a straight keyframe over here let's say
I added another keyframe,

Now, if I play the video, you'll see
that it's like a sudden,

a sudden, changing frame.

Ok?

So I don't want that.

So i'll just click on it and delete it.

and after pressing delete, you'll

keyframe is gone.

the opacity of every single keyframe

We can also add and remove keyframes.

You can go to the next

and previous keyframe.

We can reset the parameter

also.

After resetting the parameter, you'll
notice that everything over here goes

back to the way it was,

basically, you can use the pen to over

here to also create masks.

we can use it for masking a part

of our

video in the program panel.

the pen tool,

the pencil is just like adabe Photoshop
and offer effects, or even the Illustrator.

And it is a robust

set of drawings

to enhance your project.

And you can create straight or curve
pads,

just like before.

You can mask objects or color correct
sections of the frame.

direction line, or basically the line

which follows the next part.

Now let's say I created another point

close this panel too,

and go back to the effect controls.

Now if I select this, over here,

you can see that I have

an effect for vector motion.

And I can create a lot of

types of edits using these options.

Now over here, you can see that I have
the graphic, essential graphics panel.

And then I can also select the amount
alignment I want.

And then we can also select a position
by just dragging over it, there, the

height and the width.

Then we can go over here and toggle for
anchor point.

Then we can go over here and also
basically

tockle for animation scale.

I can click on that, and it can

create a

animation scale.

Ok, let's click on it again, remove it.

animation

Now it will basically increase or
decrease the opacity that we have.

And if I write, pick on it, you can see
that we have some options, edit properties,

which will show me the essential
graphics panel.

Cut, copy, paste, clear, duplicate a
line to video.

Frame.

Nudge.

Now what nudging will do?

Basically move it and nudge it by some
frames, ok,

now here, I can select the keyframe.

I can select the fill, ok, not a
keyframe.

And if I deselect this, you'll notice
that this is what happens.

mask with shape, select invert,

or

just select mask.

Fill.
