alright this lesson is all about vocal harmonies

and how I think of the intervals

the notes that are gonna go in these vocal harmonies

I'm gonna show you how I do it

I try not to write things down

I try to just let it flow into the microphone

um and that's what we're gonna do right now

completely different section

all right let's start with the lead vocal

and then we're just gonna see where our ear takes us

and keep it moving

and just clean this up just a little bit

okay so I usually do one bus for each note

it just allows the most control and the best blend

so for the next note we'll change the bus to 35 and 36

just gotta hit the note it's hardest part

sure I make the craziest faces when I'm

it's gonna drag all these over

now I can take these notes wider up here

next one just gets more exciting with each layer

it's like making a musical cake

so I'm always thinking of the piano

sometimes I'll even hit like the notes

and I know for this third part of the harmony

I wanted to like be pure to the chords in the song

start with a d flat

and I'm going to the a flat major course

so I want to go to the first inversion

of an a flat major triad

those vocal harmonies are gonna be be fine tune now

everything's gonna be fine tuned

we have the full skeleton of the song

and I'm ready to the super nitty gritty

detailed oriented work

which is going into audio suite and auto tune

in tuning and taking all the uh

the SS down

vocal lining

lining everything up manually

uh making sure that nothing's out of phase

this is where like

the real important stuff comes in
