The Institute for the Study of War reports that

mass mobilization in Russia
may begin in the coming days.

Of course, it is now critically important for
the Russian command to mobilize as much human

resources as possible to prolong the war
in Ukraine and compensate the losses in

the Russian troops. Exactly prolongation,
because any breakthrough and breaking of

the situation for the occupiers
in Ukraine is no longer expected.

It is worth considering what the
mobilization resource of Ukraine

is and whether Russia's attempt to
attack using the tactics of the USSR

without regard to its own losses will be
a problem for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In modern warfare, "live meat" attacks
are not effective. The issue is solved by

sufficient ammunition and manning of units,
as well as the availability of artillery.

There are currently no plans to declare
mobilization in Ukraine, while in Russia

it has not ended since September. This speaks to
the quality of the conduct of hostilities by the

two sides and the incommensurability of losses
resulting from two completely different tactics.

Many experts and politicians say that
the Russian leadership is ready to

fight a long war. But will it have
enough financial resources to do so?

That is its vulnerability, a long war is what? And
this is primarily a human resource, a financial

resource, a material and technical resource. The
concept of a battalion-tactical group is already

disappearing in Russia, as the army does not
have the ability to staff them. The technique is

massively removed from conservation, after decades
of storage, repaired and shipped to the front,

but it is still critically lacking. A huge number
of Russian occupants are reported missing only

because the Russian authorities do not want to
pay compensation to the families of the victims.

The long war drains Russia's resources and

essentially demilitarizes it permanently.
Knowing this, they increasingly scare the

world with nuclear weapons. But they
themselves are very afraid of dying.

They are very eager to live and will bargain
until the last, changing the terms. Not yet time.

The head of the European Commission called on
the allies to hand over to Ukraine any weapons

they are able to use. And the President of the
European Council made such a statement: "They

urgently need more weapons, and I personally
advocate the supply of tanks to Ukraine".

Will there be a transition from
appeals to concrete deliveries?

This has already been going on for quite some
time, and the list of weapons to be provided

is being expanded. In December we learned about
the partners' readiness to transfer Patriot SAMs,

as well as French-Italian SAMP-Ts. In the
first days of 2023 it became known about the

readiness of France to transfer AMX-10RC
infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine,

and also the new US aid package included
M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle.

Now everyone is actively discussing the
transfer of British "Challenger 2" tanks,

as well as the high probability of receiving
"Leopard 2" tanks by the AFU. The list of

transferred armament is rapidly expanding and I
am sure it will continue to expand in the future.

In the meantime, we are waiting for the results
of the eighth meeting of the partners at the

Ramstein base. Or have already waited for the
results, depending on when you watched this video.
