Like I love Astrud.

I felt like she was kind of like off,

kind of the entire day.

She was kind of distant.

And then she just kind of like,

I understand being in the bottom

and like feeling like the world is crushing,

but she kind of-

I think she like swallowed her.

Like it's so fucking stupid.

Astrud acted like a damn fool.

I was just like, girl, get it together.

I was honestly pretty surprised with the outbursts

because I don't know that side.

Her reaction was a lot.

That's not the Astrud that I know and love.

And I feel like I pressured her,

every time she had like a doubt about auditioning,

I pushed it, and I think that she just broke.

I feel like partly responsible, because we were a team

and it was a collaboration.

It's my fault for letting you control me.

We both had things that we cut

from our original outfits and our plan.

And if he wanted to keep that cut or whatever,

he should've spoke up.

If Astrud sacrificed something that was so important

in bringing so much then it's kind of on him.

He should've stuck to his guns.

But she just had so much fire,

and heading out to the Wild West.

For this week's challenge, you must conceptualize

and create an original look based on the comic book inspired

Weird Wild West theme.

Horror and science fiction collided

on the American frontiers in these pulp comics of yesteryear

and they were a breeding ground for wacky creativity,

weirdness and brilliance.

Your look must draw inspiration from this same weird,

wild world, and it must contain both Western-themed elements

as well as horror and science fiction tones.

We also wanna see a little panache in your performance.

It's one thing to design and build a look,

but it's another thing to sell it on the stage,

and if you're going to win this competition,

you're going to have to do both, and do them both well.

The winner of the challenge will receive a $1,000

shopping spree to Fright-Rags.

So I'm really excited for the Wild West theme,

and this is my attempt at remaking an iconic Mugler outfit

and I've used spandex, but I knew that it wasn't

gonna be enough on its own, so I had to line everything

with neoprene, and it's been very labor-intensive,

but so very worth it.

My concept, basically, is like a brothel worker,

hybrid pig lady.

Basically, I asked myself, if I was back then,

in the Weird Wild West, what would I be doing?

And hooking, so I drew inspiration

from the girls in the brothels.

I also have this character that I do.

She's an iconic pig character I constructed,

and I wanted to push myself to bring her to life more.

So my inspiration for Weird Wild West

is gonna be this really nasty, alien bounty hunter,

like very post-human, just the world is absolute dust.

It's gonna be a lot of leather, and then,

with this, you just distress everything,

and that's usually what takes the longest

for something like this, but.

It's pretty easily achieved.

It's just watered down acrylic paint,

and then lots of layers just to get

the right texture that we're going for,

especially out in the desert, things wear a certain way,

so it's like bringing that to life.

So you know, I'm an ol' hill person from the South,

the backwoods of Tennessee,

and as such, I love Dolly Parton.

So my inspiration is "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,"

and I'm going to combine it with one of my favorite

post-apocalyptic movies, "Terminator."

So she's gonna be like a Robo-Dolly,

risen from the ashes, which is fitting of you know,

the situation, I think.

My concept is Mae West meets a one-eyed alien.

She runs the brothel.

She's telling the hos where to go,

and how much to give and how much to give to her.

(group laughs)

So this is the wig, but we're gonna mess with it,

So my inspiration is Emiliano Zapata.

Well, Emiliano Zapata was the one that started

the revolution in Mexico.

He always had a big-ass mouth and a heart for the pueblos.

I wanna give a shoutout to my sister,

'cause she was the one that teach me

about him more in detail.

So that's for her.

My family is very, it's who are, fuck,

I'm doing this for my family, and my sister left me

a video when she was passing of cancer.

I had to grow so fast, being 13, taking care

of my nephew, 'cause she was in chemo.

Before she died, she was like, don't let anybody down,

protect my mother.

They came to this country because they don't want us

to go through what they went through.

to bring their characters to life on the main stage.

I wanna ask you, what did you think

of the overall floor show?

It's so good, and for so many of them,

as soon as they came out on stage,

the story was told immediately,

before they even made one move.

There are no other set of characters

that could've brought our Weird Wild West fantasy

to life than this cast.

We have to start with Betty,

because-
Yeah, okay.

This is the transformation

that we were hoping for.

You know, I should start charging people to torture them

the way that I do during the exterminations,

because it really helps people out.

You can spend so much money on therapy,

you could just give me like, I don't know, $500,

and I'll throw you in a coffin and look how you improve.

We'll have to let them know tonight.

Betty's transformation was incredible.

That is the Betty that we cast, you know?

Exactly.
When I saw

her audition video, she was so empowered

and so fun, and then when she was on the first two episodes,

it was like, where are you?

You could tell she was really in her head,

she was looking around-

I think the situation really sort of got in her head,

and her light was getting eclipsed,

and I think going through what we put her through

really just pulled that out of her.

She understands now.

Overall, this group is so deadly.

They're so good.

Merrie listened to our advice.

She took our notes

and she applied them, the opposite of what we saw last week,

where she wanted to rip someone's head off.

Yeah, you know, she gets it, she gets it.

And one person that I'm not sure that gets it yet

and we're gonna have to, we'll see what's up with Jade,

because Jade, it's kind of like do or die time for Jade.

She's so talented, I love the props.

I love all the stories and characterization,

but I feel like she's holding back a little bit,

and this is not the place to hold back at all.

There's something off and it's weird,

because when we saw her and worked with her at Play

in Louisville, she did all those different looks,

lots of horror looks.
Yeah.

And she changed like instantly and went out there

and slayed over and over and over, so I'm like-

A professional entertainer from top to bottom.

I'm like, what is it?

You know what it is?

It's the I-N-O-M, the I'm not a monster syndrome.

I think she might be suffering.

Maybe she's getting a little psyched out

and we need to remind her that she's just as hideous

on the outside as she is on the inside.

Hi, Sigourney!
Hi!

Mama, the absolute fucking nerve of you to come out here

in two looks that are probably some of the best looks

of the night, it's just amazing.

But from stage, I would've never known

you had scaling or like all that detail,

and if you're gonna take the time to do it,

let's make sure they see it from space.

Your skills as a drag artists are just

at the top of their game.

When you did that reveal, it was like an explosion.

The room literally hushed.
Glitter and glamor.

It was fantastic.

The characterization, maybe was a little off.

We weren't exactly sure like, are you an alien,

or where were you coming out with that,

so that wasn't super clear.

A mutant going to Texas Roadhouse, perhaps?

I love that you look like this beautiful,

kind of classic rodeo queen, a lot of detail

in your movements, I'm kind of a sucker for,

you know, handography.

Oh, absolutely. Every little chh.

Yeah.

Stunning performance.

I think you killed it. It was great.

I feel like you're holding back in the movement.

Like I think of everyone, your movement

was the most timid.

For someone who I know can really give it,

that's a disappointment, because the look is so cool.

You come at it from a fashion perspective,

and if you're gonna be fashion,

give us a fashion moment.

It just felt like you have this cool look,

and we were getting on the runway cows on Ambien.

It was like you were marking it.

You need to milk it, perhaps.

I mean, you fed the children,

but you could've breastfed the children.

Well, I think it's a great concept.

I love the outside of the box approach,

where it's not maybe classic Western,

like you would think right away.

But you know, I kinda loved that.

Zavaleta.

I fucking loved this character

and you came out and served it on level 10.

All of the gender play, I mean, I couldn't get enough of it.

I'm like, caballero, caballera, caballerx,

I'm like, what is this that I'm look at?

(speaks Spanish) You know.

This was like a badass that no one wants to fuck with.

It was excellent.

There's so many details to your outfit,

from the earring, the bullets, the boots, everything.

And the gun arm, of course, is fantastic.

It was so completely realized.

This look is really a feather in your hat

in this competition.

There's something scarier about smiling the whole time.

It got weirder as it went.

The incredible thing, I think,

about Western culture and country culture and everything,

I mean, it's really about storytelling, you know,

and the second you walked out there,

we know your story, there's no guessing to do.

Like we just get to sit back and enjoy it.

I think you look incredible.

I kinda love that you were concealing a bit with your hat,

not always showing your face necessarily,

which obviously, I'm a fan of.

Let's move on to Dahli.

This intergalactic bounty hunter

is so beautifully realized.

You are robotic, necrotic.

This is such a dangerous presentation, but you and Zava,

as main characters in our graphic novel next year,

is like, going to happen.

There, I said it.

Like, archenemies.
That's the thing, right?

Like they look like they belong in the same universe,

fighting each other.
Absolutely.

Your characterization was fantastic.

You were hunched down with the guns, like a bounty hunter,

through the smoke.

I can think of nothing weirder or wild or more Western

than this outfit.

trying to figure out who is this character,
