This game is so different.
It's like, you know,

my partner changes from week to
week, and I have this alliance,

but I don't even know
if that alliance serves me, and

some of those people
don't even talk to me.

-So I'm just making friends,

So I know that Survivor
is going to stay strong,

and I'm almost certain that Big
Brother's gonna stay strong

as well, too, but I'm wanting
to make a good connection

with Derek, so I'm like, "Let me
just use my social skills,

"my friend-making skills
to my advantage because

it could save me in this game."

Here, we can walk together

-and improve our team chemistry.

I'll carry a 50-pound barrel

I watched you on Survivor.

a home on The Challenge
with the Survivors.

I think that they have
the most capability

this randomizer

is going to even things out

if things keep going
the trajectory they are going.

TYSON:
Moving forward for us, we just

always have to get rid of
the weakest people right now...

BOTH:
So we don't be
partners with them.

TYSON:
What the strong competitors

in the house would want to do
is target the weak competitors

so that they don't have
to partner with them.

I have my personal circle
of former Survivor contestants,

Angela has people
on Big Brother,

and you will have to betray
some of those people, but,

like, that's the nature
of this game, honestly.

We are the two top dogs.

Like, everybody wants to be
partnered with either of us

and then is hoping that one
of us will get them the money.

ANGELA:
It's really important

to align
with the strong players.

If we can keep as many strong
competitors in the game,

I have a better chance of

getting a strong partner.

Just put them on our backs?

This ain't my first rodeo,

so when I see Tyson and Angela

talking quite a bit,

that sets off alarm bells
for me.

So I've got my eye on him,
but I know that Tyson's

Survivor strong. If we stay
strong, we can go all the way.

Going into the challenge
with Dom today,

it looks like
we're going to be running,

and he's not the fastest,

so I'm definitely

a little nervous.

(woman screams)

DOMENICK:
We see
that there's a long distance

that maybe we're going
to have to run, and

I'm starting to get concerned
because I'm working

with someone that might not be
good at something.

Something terrible

may be about to happen.

All right, everyone,
how's it going?

-Good.
-Great.

Today's challenge is called
Hang On Man.

This is basically The Challenge
version of Hangman.

To begin, you and your partner
will race across the parking lot

and grab one of your stairs.

Each team is going
to have to build a staircase

so they can reach the top
of that container.

Once on top, one of you

is going to have to balance
on a very narrow plank

while holding a rod
across your back.

Now, also on top,
there's a letter bin.

The letter you select
at your bin

is your guess
at your phrase board.

If you're wrong, you got
to grab a ten-pound sandbag,

clip it to one side of the rod
across your partner's back,

and continue that process
until they have enough letters

to guess what the phrase is.

So choose your letters wisely.

Once you correctly guess
your phrase,

there's one final sandbag
you'll need to transport

back to your container.
If, at any time,

your partner on the plank falls,
your team is out.

First team
to figure out their phrase

will win today's challenge,
be safe from elimination,

and also receive $10,000
to be split

in your Challenge accounts,
which also

qualifies you to run my final.

Tyson might be triple qualified.
Who knows?

ALYSSA: Tyson is just a beast.
I'm hoping

this gives me an opportunity
to finally win,

have some power,
and make some moves.

TYSON: Everybody thinks
it's, like, a foregone

conclusion that she's going
to win her money.

I feel good enough
with Alyssa.

She's willing to work hard

it takes to win a challenge.

To begin, you and your partner
are going to start

on top of that container.

Then, when I say go,
one of you is gonna jump in

and start releasing
the building blocks.

The other partner

is going to throw 'em down,

slide down the fire pole,

and start stacking.

Now, your goal

is to get all 14 blocks out

as fast as you can

and build a tower.

All right? Now here's the catch.

When I say "go," I'm gonna
pull a lever which will release

all of the water
out of those tanks fast.

If the water hits the line,
the game is over.

It's up to you if you want
to try and plug the hole or not,

buy your teammate some time.
