How we doing, Sgt. Our platoon hits the beach
right after the Rangers. Have the men ready
to board the assault boats at 0500.

You seen the way those assault boats
are bouncing around out there.
I'd as soon be in a canoe.

Well, I had planned on chartering a
yacht, but I thought it might be a bit snobbish.

Mission's still the same as before.

Secure the bluffs in
the beach head and move inward.

But you move ahead of us
Sergeant on a recon patrol.

Peel off with one squad
just as soon as you can.

Here's a map of the patrol. You move in on

There's a farmhouse about
500 yards from the orchard.

A platoon of paratroopers are supposed
to come in here and set up an outpost.

If the enemy's in the farm house, when
we cross the stream we'll get cut to ribbons.

Our patrol only has one mission.

To find out who's in there and get word
back to battalion so they'll know
whether to advance, or to pull in artillery.
