All language subtitles for 2. Reverse phone

Nelson, investigations, chances are you're going to come across some phone numbers and you're going

to need to do a little bit of research on them.

So in this video, we're taking a look at a couple of tools that we could use.

These are primarily U.S. based tools, so I do want to get that out there.

So right now I have my CSI Linux instance open right now.

So if you open up the Firefox browser, we can go over to look up tools and then we can go to.

Three, reverse phone number look up.

Cell phone or landline, and it's going to pull up this site here by dialer.

It can be found at speed dial or dot com.

No, this is a browser based tool, so you don't necessarily need CSI Linux for this.

You can look it up on anything any computer, smartphone, tablet, what not.

So let's take a look at this.

So my dealer website says they collect billions of phone numbers, create a free reverse number, look

up for cell phones, VoIP and landline.

So pretty cool service right there.

So the way this works is we can go to spy dialer and we can enter a phone number in or a person address

or email address.

When you do a search.

So I have a phone number right here, and I'm going to click on search, so say this is our target.

So you put the phone number and area code and the rest of the phone number.

We click Search.

And then it starts going through and through their database and taking a look.

So this is pretty cool.

So if there's a voicemail, we can click on voicemail and we can click on.

I am not a robot and have to go through the CAPTCHA for this.

OK, and then we can search it and see if there's actually a voicemail, so the voicemail part is pretty

cool because.

It may give certain information out, the person, may give their name, might give a company name if

nothing else, even if it's a generic, say, voicemail, one that they haven't set up is just a default

one for their service provider.

We may potentially be able to figure out.

Which service you're using because of that cell phone of?

Voicemail, so pretty cool, so let's take a look at this one here.

And I'm going to click on play.

OK, so as we can see here, it's from Best Buy in Florida City.

So pretty cool.

And then if we go back here.

We could do a name look up.

We could do a photo, look up.

So let's let this run through here, and we do photo look up and we can click search.

And then it'll try to pull up a location of where their phone numbers ET.

Using Google images now, these things may not be 100 percent accurate, but it should be able to use

a rough idea of where they're potentially get.

So again, another useful thing that we could use.

So another tool we could use is or a site rather is white pages.

It can be found in white pages dot com for social reverse dash phone.

Now, this isn't as robust as spy dialer.

So let's copy this number here.

And then we could paste it in here and we can click search.

OK.

And let's see what white pages comes backwards, so even though it doesn't have all the cool bells and

whistles as it does, it does give us some basic information.

So.

It shows us a registered his phone number is in Florida, so it gives us a location, it's a landline.

It's Best Buy and it gives address here.

So still, that's great information that we're pulling.

So the final one I'm going to show you right now is Maltego now Maltego is a pretty cool tool, and

it's one of my favorite tools.

So we're running the community edition, Maltego, so if you go on the pallet here, you can pull up

phone number imported in here, put a phone number and we can right click this and then we can run whichever

transfer we want to know.

The problem with this is.

Maltego can do quite a bit of searches using.

Using a phone number, however, there's a few couple of caveats to this one you have to have the paid

edition of Maltego, too, depending on which modules you're running, you will need the API keys for

which may or may not be free.

But I do want to throw it out there for you.

For people that are doing a lot of ocean searches with phone numbers, you may want to look into actually

buying the paid version of Maltego, the pro version.

But for those for everyone else, the spider web between spider in the white pages, it's a great search

engine.

And this is about doing reverse searches on phone numbers.
