I am trying to leave but...

but the new camera mount I bought doesn't fit to the existing mount :(

I am a little bit flustered this morning

It's been a while since I went on a long-distance trip

so I am extra cautious about riding today

So I just realized that I forgot to charge my Sena

but oh well, let's get going!

I'm a bit nervous

getting back on the bike after a long break

So I will be riding carefully and slowly today

I am going to Pyeongtaek to an event called Swap Meet

In the US,

many people fix their bikes in their garage

(vs. having a personal garage space is not common in Korea)

so people would trade, exchange or sell motorcycle parts or items from their garage during the motorcycle Swap Meet events

They are holding a Swap Meet for the first time (I may be wrong, I think they had these events before) in Pyeongtaek

I am going to check it out. I think it may be a small event but I have no idea

In the US, some bike swap meets are pretty big events

and they sometimes have bike shows

and there are a lot of fun events

so I have no idea what this event is going to be like but I'm going to go check it out!

I've never been to this part before, so I don't really know where I'm going

But it's still really cold

There are a lot of couples tandeming on their motorcycles and going on dates

everywhere I look, everyone is tandeming

Lucky them...(I'm not crying you're crying)

The sad part about riding alone is

there's no one who can take pictures of me :(

So pretty :)

But for sure, compared to places like Yangpyeong (touristy spots)

there are not that many people on the road

it is so great to ride on the roads like this

But seriously, why is it so cold?

It's my first time here, what is this place?

It's been a while since I felt this

but my helmet size, though I did lose some weight

compared to when I first bought my helmet

but ah, considering the hair and things like that,

medium is a little small

a little too small, and they say it has to be a little tight

but hurts my skull when I put on the medium size helmet

It shouldn't be THAT tight, right?

But then again, the large is a little big...But it's not huge (oh what a dilemma I am in)

my head fits but I don't know

Anyways

I have a bigger head than average Korean women

Most females wear small or medium

sometimes they wear X-Small helmets

but that's not going to happen with me, I gotta wear a large size lol (self-dissing)

Oh, how many more km left? It says we've got about 1.6 km

We are almost here~

where the soldiers live?

this area is different from the parts of Pyeontaek with shops and restaurants

It says I am almost there. I guess they need a large open area

for the Swap Meet to be possible, I guess?

Do I see motorcycles? Nope, they are going to an opposite direction

I'm really excited and worried because I don't know what to expect

and I'm scared that there will be nothing at the event

so yeah...

Is this the camp Humphreys? I think it's an American military base, right?

I looked at the map wrong (I thought it was the next turn and not this one)

There are more bikes than I expected!

It was so cold this morning. Anyways, I'll go look around a bit

So there are some people who are selling

some motorcycle parts and gears

Of course, there are a lot of Harley-Davidsons

(not sure what I am saying here lol)

So the event looks like this

ahh I love that exhaust sound (Low rumble sound)

I think American motorcycles have one of the best exhaust sounds

As expected, there are a lot of Harleys

There were not that many stands selling products

but there are still some people selling gears and bike parts

So I wrapped my bike myself but I had an accident so the wrapping doesn't look good

but someone came up to me saying he (actually one of his workers)

does wrapping in his shop so stop by and I got his card

I need to redo the wrapping but don't feel like doing it myself (so much work)

and most of the wrapping shops don't wrap motorcycles

But I'm glad to get to know someone who can do it

So there are some people who are trying to sell their bikes

I would love to own a Harley...

but I am broke :(

so it seems like there will be events until the evening

And they are selling some hotdogs and hamburgers but they don't take American Express

so I think I'll leave soon

So like here, there are people selling things

This is probably a hotdog and grill stand

but I don't have my wallet with me

and I only have my credit card with me but it wouldn't take AMEX

my card doesn't work so I couldn't get anything

and I am starving

So I'm going to get going, it was a cool experience, saw a lot of cool bikes

Ah they are playing some great songs, so macho

Anyways, I'll be heading toward Pyeongtaek International Market

near the Songtan station to get some food

So many Harleys just went by

it was endless rows of Harley bikes like I would sometimes see in the US (like Rolling Thunder, but not really)

Like Sons of Anarchy

it was so cool and I didn't get to record it! :( poops

So I am coming back from the event and starving right now

And they wouldn't accept my credit card

and I didn't have my wallet or any cash on me

So I was going to leave

and get grab some food near the Pyeontaek International Market area

but seeing those Harleys...

Is there something else going on?

Is there an event happening soon? Something to check out?

I'm so curious right now

Maybe

I'll try to find a cafe and grab some coffee

and maybe grab something light to eat

I didn't eat anything so I'm so cold and hungry (hangry)

To be honest, I am quite shy so I couldn't talk to anyone

I should have talked to some people at the event and gotten it on the camera

and I am pretty hungry right now

It says there should be a coffee shop here...wait, is it closed?

It says they are on vacation

This is really, just a residential area. And there's nothing here!

So, I guess I can't get anything to eat right now

I'll drive by the event real quick

if there is anything going on,

I'll park again and check it out

If not,

I'll just head to the international market

So I drove by the even, why is it so loud?

Indeed, that group of Harley riders was heading toward the swap meet

So I took a peek while passing by. There will be some event going on around 2 o'clock.

But I was so hungry

so I just came straight to Songtan

and now I'm here to eat Philly Cheese Steak

So at 2 o'clock, something about that bike blessing?

But I didn't wait for that time...

I mean I struggled just getting here

It took me about 40 minutes to get here,

I almost felt dizzy while riding

No cafes were opened, and even convenience stores were closed

So yeah, I left the event to get some food

(it was so freaking good!)

(Enjoyed the sub and now trying to find some sweets)

Today, I went to Swap Meet briefly

and grabbed some food at Songtan (Pyeongtaek) International Market area

And now I am heading back home!

There may have been more stuff to see if I stayed at the Swap Meet a little longer

But I made the mistake of not eating anything before leaving home

and was starving

so I couldn't stay longer than I wanted to and also,

I am usually talkative when someone talks to me first

but I get shy trying to go up to a person and start a conversation...I am not sure how I am going to do Youtube...

but anyways, for these reasons

I was a little embarrassed

and didn't get to talk to many people

but if there is an event like this in the future

I would love to go

and also it's a pity that

there were so many Harley riders

[not sure] but it seems like something cool was happening [they were awesome]

So if I went back to the event,

maybe there could have been more events at the Swap Meet after I left that I should have checked out

but anyways...

I do have to call my friend living abroad tonight

so regardless, I couldn't stay longer

But I got to have a delicious real Philly Cheese Steak sandwich

It has been a while since I had a Cheese Steak. And I will be heading back home now.
