JASON: Stay with me girl.

What is it girl,
you're on to something?

(barks)

What's in there?

(laughs)

Oh, God, he's an angry one,
he's an angry one.

Easy.

This is not a venomous snake,

this is, maybe
a garter snake?

I'm gonna let you go big guy.

Good girl, that
was good, that was good.

JASON (off-screen):
This is Maggie May.

I guess she's
about four years old.

I've had her
for about two years

and she's some sort
of Shepherdy Labby mix.

JASON (off-screen): Maggie's
a very alert, very aware dog.

She's super peppy.

She's got a lot of energy.

She's always exploring,
checking things out.

She has a high prey drive.

That's a huge advantage.

JASON (off-screen): I found
Maggie on the side of the road

digging into a pile of
trash like a wild coyote.

Skinny, dirty,
obviously malnourished.

She came right up to
me and I scooped her up,

put her in the truck,

and we've been
best friends ever since.

Hey! Maggie!

(barking)

What is that?

Looks like Maggie found
coyote poop didn't you girl?

So we know that
coyotes in the area.

Just be aware of that.

You're not the only
four legged canine out here.

NARRATOR: The fall season

means Maine's fearsome
wildlife is on the hunt.

Coyotes are among the states
most dominant predators

with over 15,000 of
these carnivorous canines

prowling the woods
and mountains for meat.

(barking)

JASON: What do
we see, Maggie May?

Oh yeah!

Found our source of water and
hopefully our source of fish,

food for the
foreseeable future.

Let's cross over
to the other side.

Hey looks like a pretty
sweet camp spot right up here.

What do you think?

Maggie seems to like it.

I think this is home.

JASON (off-screen):
My plan is,

get one big ridge pole.

I'll put the tarp over
top of that ridge pole.

Close it a little bit
more and sturdy it up.

It's gonna be kind of a big job
but I think it'll be worth it

if the weather
should turn bad.

We don't wanna be doing this
in the rain that's for sure.

And if I can get her
just to help a little bit

and she just hauls
it back to camp for me,

that would be fantastic.

Maggie and I have been
on several camping trips

but for the most part

she's always just
come along for the ride.

This is gonna be different

and my goal is including
Maggie in every task

from setting up my
shelter to producing food.

really sturdy ridge beam.

No, no, no not in my bed.

(groans)

NARRATOR: While Maggie's
scenting and pulling skills

prove smaller dogs can
make big contributions.

Four and a half miles
to the west,

a young Chocolate Lab
is making new friends

as he gets the
lay of the land.

(chittering)

(growling)

JODIE: Gunny, come.

That squirrel
doesn't like you either.

Come on. Bring it in.

Thank you.

It's really interesting
watching his demeanor,

I was like for a second I think
he's scared of everything.

But he needs to get his feet
to the ground and get used to it.

Don't make me whistle, boy.

This is my dog Gunner,

he's a ten month old
Chocolate Lab puppy.

Gunner is extremely hyper just
very fast energy, high paced.

He can dig out a fire pit
in a matter of seconds.

JODIE (off-screen): Gunner was a rescue
that I didn't even expect I was gonna get.

Once I looked
into his eyeballs

and he licked my face
for that first time,

I was in love.

I was sold.

He needs to be loved.

That's my
favorite part about him

'cause I'm very
much so the same.

Let's go this way. Come on.

JODIE (off-screen):
I'm exactly like my dog,

I don't like to be
in one place too long,

I don't like to sit still.

I like to go, go, go,
very high energy.

JODIE (off-screen): Gunner
and I are here to prove

that you can put
two undisciplined, crazy,

hyper people out there

and not only survive,
but thrive.

(barking)

What did you find, bubs?

Oh, my God, could this
be any more beautiful?

Seeing this gigantic lake is
giving me a major moral booster.

JODIE (off-screen): What I want to do
right now is get a little fire started

enough to boil some water

while I'm starting
to make the shelter.

NARRATOR: For
the next ten days,

the three teams will attempt to earn
up to a maximum ten points

based on the success
of their survival skills.

JODIE: I need to have fire
in order to have water

because the animals use this
to walk through, poop in,

things like that.

You can get multiple
diseases that way

you need to
purify the water here

so that you
don't get sick.

NARRATOR: Teamwork
is critical.

Each pair must work together
to source food and water,

secure fire, build
sturdy shelter and

stay mentally tough,

earning a point
if they succeed and

two points if they excel.

If a team taps out early,
they forfeit the competition.

JODIE: I'm just gonna
carefully transfer my water

into the canteen
to cool in here.

NARRATOR: After
ten days, the team

with the highest score
is declared the winner.

JODIE: Oh, my God.

This is not easy.

(laughs)

(bleep).

Oh I just burned my hand.

(dog whines)

(grunts)

It's starting to get really numb feeling
and tingly feeling.

I had second degree burns
to this arm,

so it's starting to
make me really nervous

that it's feeling this way.

That's whatcha get
for going too fast.

(cries)

I'm going to go put it in
the water down at the lake.

JODIE (off-screen):
That was an idiot move.

Shouldn't have
been holding it.

I just got to be more cautious
of what I'm doing now.

Stupid.

Gunny. Gunny.

(whistles)

JODIE (off-screen): Gunner really
needs to up his emotional game with me

because I'm going
to need that love

to survive and
thrive out here.

Come, come.

(smacks lips)

NARRATOR: While Jodie
and Gunner shake off

an eventful first day,

a few miles away.

NOAH: Come on, Rainy.

Follow the trail.

We've got some
boulders now, Rainy.

NARRATOR: A veteran
sled dog is testing

her chops on a
near vertical climb.

NOAH: You think there's no
way a sled dog can go up that

but we're gonna give it a go.

(grunts)

This way.

Good girl.

You can do it.

There you go.

Wow, good girl!

Rainy, I need a hand.

Pull me up.

Good girl.

This is Rainy.

She's a ten year old
Alaskan Husky and

she's done a number
of different races,

such as the Iditarod.

NOAH (off-screen):
She's athletic.

She's smart and she's got a
good head on her shoulders.

Rainy, she's the perfect dog.

She was born right in
my garage ten years ago.

She's been a great partner
for me over the years.

We're a pack and trust
is a big part of that pack.

Oh man, it's thick.

NOAH (off-screen): The terrain is
very different in the woods of Maine

than it is in the state of Alaska

so Rainy and I are
gonna work as a team

to see if we can survive
in a new environment.

Oh wow. See that Rainy?

Just gorgeous.

This looks like a
great water source

and it's gonna be a
good spot for my shelter.

All that hiking is worth
it for a spot like this.

So I'm not gonna spend a whole lot
of time building one permanent thing

because I'm not sure
if this is the spot

where I'm gonna find a fish.

I want to keep my options open

and the only way to
do that is by mobility.

Voila.

Doesn't look too bad.

Just gonna start processing
some of this firewood down.

Fire is all about preparation.

If you don't have
everything ready to go

when you go to light it,

you're just gonna
run into trouble.

Go.

First fire feels great.

Hopefully I can keep it going.

Feeling really
good at the moment.

NARRATOR: As the
sun sets on day one,

the three teams
finally settle in

for their
first night in the wild.

JODIE: I think it's beautiful.

Out here is just, this is,
this is my happy place.

It sounds so weird to say that

like who wants to be dirty
and starving and tired?

I do.

Now he's back to snoring.

I wonder why.

NOAH: Hey, Rainy.

Wonderful first day.

NOAH (off-screen): Nice to
have that hike out of the way.

I got a pretty good
fire going right now.

I might try and
boil some water.

I really didn't drink
much throughout that hike.

I was so worried
about saving water

'cause I wasn't
sure where I'd end up.

All I gotta do tonight
is curl up with my dog.

NARRATOR: All three teams
have secured fire and water

but Jason and
Maggie's shelter

is more durable
than the others,

giving them an advantage
early on in the challenge.

JASON: Day one in the books.

Maggie's doing really well.

She's a little bit tired.

She's curled up and
going to sleep here.

First things first, hang my
socks up, let them drive out,

take care of my feet.

(howling)

(gasps)

JODIE: Those are coyotes.

JODIE: (bleep).

JODIE: He's on full
alert mode right now.

JODIE: (bleep), doggy.

It terrifies you when
your dog tries to go out

and play with
a pack of coyotes.

JODIE (off-screen):
Like he is determined and

I do wear his
leash around my waist.

(dog whining)

(gasps)

Oh, my God, Gunner.

Gunner!

(dog whining)

♪ ♪

(takes deep breath)

JODIE: Tired.

Look at that little doggo.

NARRATOR: Despite
a restless night,

Jodie has managed to
keep Gunner by her side.

And the roving bands
of coyotes at bay.

(howling)

For now.

JODIE: I mean, he's trying
to protect me and I love you

but can you please stop?

JODIE (off-screen): I've been
a survivalist for many, many years

in every kind of different
environment you can imagine.

I did have some of
an absentee father,

he would come on the weekends.

We'd go fishing,

and I just
remember it being like

the best
experience of my life.

It is very new to me having
a dog in this situation,

but this is his environment
as much as it is mine

and I think it's one thing
that really does bond us together.

JODIE (over phone): Good boy.

JODIE: Come here.
Gunner, dig it out.

All of it. Dig it.

The one thing that Gunner does
the best is his digging skills.

He can dig out a fire pit
in a matter of seconds.

Good boy, keep going!

The roots are in the way of
making a really good fire pit

because I need to get down,

this needs to be a
more of a pitted fire pit

otherwise I could potentially
set the whole place on fire.

I'm trying to
create a barrier

between the cold, wet
earth and my firewood.

Got it!

NARRATOR: Jodie and Gunner's
rock-layered fire pit

will provide vital heat
and allow them to cook

while keeping the
fire safely contained.

(groaning)

JODIE: You did
good today, bud.

NARRATOR: While
Jodie and Gunner

bask in the warm glow
of the job well done,

across the mountain.

JASON: What was that,
what was that?

NARRATOR: Jason and Maggie have
their sight set on bigger fish.

JASON: What is that?
What is that, Maggie?

JASON (off-screen): So
I'm building a fish weir,

which is basically a fish trap

that funnels fish into a
small little collection basin

where you can
collect them out.

If we can just push
the fish this way,

they're going to
see this barrier

and then want to go with
the flow kind of thing

into this little basin
that I've created.

It's a beautiful day!

We got sticks to chew on.

We got fish weirs to build.

Whoa!

JASON (off-screen): My background is
primarily in strength and conditioning.

I've trained everybody

from the average Joe,
to Division One athletes,

to our nation's
most elite soldiers,

and I'm hoping to use
my skills as a coach

to harness Maggie's potential.

She's gonna be someone I can
rely on in a wilderness setting.

Maggie's gonna need
to be on her A game.

Wanna come across?

Come here girl.

JASON (off-screen): This spot's too wide
for me to handle by myself

and if Maggie can
flush some of the fish

from her side of the creek,

that will be very,
very helpful.

Come on.

It's not scary. Come on.

(dog whines)

Maggie is still a
very uneasy swimmer.

She'll do it but
doesn't like it at all.

Don't get on my weir.

You cheater.
Get off of there!

You're knocking
everything down.

No! This way.

Maggie get down.

This way girl.

You cheater!

That's messed up.

Ah, good job.

You there,
swim across, fish there.

Check, roger that. 10-4.

NARRATOR: Building the
fish weir is a high-risk,

high-reward decision.

It could allow Jason
to collect enough protein

to sustain him for the
rest of the challenge

but if he comes out
of it empty handed,

he will have burnt a lot of
precious calories for nothing.

JASON: Right Here!
Come on Maggie!

Right here.
Come, Maggie, come.

Come on Maggie.

Come on girl.

Come on Maggie. Good girl.

Let's go, let's go.

Maggie did okay.

She was real hesitant.

I honestly doubt
there's any fish in here.

We took too long.

Yeah, nothing.

Just no fish.

Hm, the fish weir is
a tremendous failure.

Absolutely nothing in it.

Right now, I am starving.

(sighs)

NARRATOR: Although
Jason and Maggie's scheme

to score multiple fish
has ended in failure,

Noah and Rainy
are also struggling

to find just a single fish.

NOAH: Ready to go?
Let's do it Rainy.

NOAH (off-screen): I'm packing up
camp, I couldn't find any fish.

But, I saw a heron fly over
earlier and that's a good sign

because they feed on fish.

NOAH (off-screen): So
I'm gonna head down river.

That's where he
was flying from.

You're gonna go over or under?

Come on.

You're going over!

Wow.

So anywhere past
here is new terrain.

This is by far the
deepest pool I've seen,

maybe there's a fish in there.

What do you think, Ru?

I think I might, uh, set
up my shelter for the night.

I think this might be the
spot to spend an evening.

This isn't the most ideal
shelter I've ever made

but I think it'll work.

Next up, firewood.

Uh, we got a problem.

I lost my knife.
That's a huge issue.

Gonna hope it fell
off in my hammock.

And it looks like it didn't.

Without a knife, there
is not much I can do here.

Ugh.

I gotta go find that now.

NOAH (off-screen): When people say
they're going into the woods,

you can forget
everything else but a knife.

I need this knife for
practically everything

I do out here besides walking.

I'm so frustrated. It's gone.

Not good at all.

I know I'm not super calm,

I just lost my knife
but having Rainy here,

that's what's keeping
me calm at the moment.

If I'm all in my own
head about this disaster,

I can't be a good
teammate for her.

Let's go back to camp, Rainy.

I don't want to waste
anymore energy looking

for something I'm
probably not gonna find.

I'll try to get a fire going
with my axe as a striker.

Very dangerous, I don't
like doing this at all.

If I make one little slip
and turn to the side,

I can lose my
right index finger.

(sighs)

Thought I had it there.

If I can't get this going

and I can't boil water
for drinking, that's it.

(dog whining)

NOAH (off-screen):
We got a problem.

I lost my knife.

I'll try to get a fire going
with my axe as a striker.

Oh I want my knife.

Yes! I got fire.

Oh I'm very relieved.

Maybe it's not over yet.

NARRATOR: Noah's
resourceful thinking

has secured fire
before nightfall.

However, losing his knife is
a huge setback he and Rainy

will need to overcome
not just tonight,

but for the rest
of the challenge.

But Noah and Rainy
aren't the only team

struggling to
obtain calories.

JASON: Man, everything
sounds so fricken good.

Burgers, ice cream.

I'm losing some
weight for sure.

I can see it in my pants.

Getting a little bit loose.

If Maggie and I can't figure out
a reliable way to get fish,

it's not gonna be good.

Tomorrow I need to catch fish.

(sighs)

NOAH (off-screen): I'm
still not finding fish here.

I'm already
physically fatigued,

mentally fatigued.

You know, from the
lack of nutrition.

You can tell I'm stressed
just thinking about it.

NARRATOR: Depleted by
an utter lack of food.

NOAH: Alright let's head out.

Hopefully get some dinner.

NARRATOR: Noah and Rainy are
heading away from their riverside campsite

and focusing on foraging.

NOAH: Now this is quite
a bit more challenging

than I had thought
getting into it.

Finding water has been easy.

Finding shelter's been easy.

Finding food, that's...

That's the hard part.

(barking)

Oh, what do you
see there, Rainy?

(barks)

Do you smell something?

I see berries, Rainy.

First food we've had.

NOAH (off-screen):
So Rainy as a sled dog,

when we're bushwhacking
it's all new for her.

And she's actually trained to run
by food on the sled dog trail,

so getting her to
use that behavior

and actually point to
me where food might be

is kind of new for her.

Wonderful.

Thanks for
finding the berries.

I'm gonna spend some
time here for sure.

Rainy sniffed them out.

I noticed her turn
her nose up to the wind.

Being in tune with your
dog can be the difference

between a lunch or
a disappointing day.

Thanks for looking
out for me, girl.

I'm gonna boil these.

NOAH (off-screen): I'll digest
those sugars a lot better once boiled

and it'll release them.

I'll just get more
nutrition from it.

I absolutely relate better
to dogs than I do people.

I think about relationships.

I mean, mine with
Rainy doesn't compare

to any other
relationship in my life.

I haven't figured out how
to work with people much yet.

NOAH (off-screen): It was one
of the things I was looking forward to

most about this journey:

the break from society.

People are funny.

They're fickle.

With dogs you always get
exactly what they give you,

unconditional love.

(dog moaning)

Look who's awake?

You got bed-head.

NARRATOR: Noah's first meal
has given him a slight advantage

over the other teams who have
yet to procure any kind of food.

But back at Jodie
and Gunner's campsite,

food is far from
the only concern.

JODIE: It's really important
I prep this whole area right here

so I don't catch any of
the trees and stuff on fire.

Gunny!

(whistles)

Come on. Bring it in.

Gunner is starting to get
a bit more brave out here

and the farther off he runs,

the more danger
he's possibly in.

Driving me bonkers.

(barks)

Gunner. Come on!

(barks)

(whistles)

(barks)

Gunner! Come.

Ah!

I messed up.

Hurts really bad right now.

(groaning)

When you're tired and groggy,

you don't think about
common sense stuff.

You don't think
things through.

NARRATOR: Jodie and
Gunner's lack of cohesion

is having
painful consequences.

(crying)

But in this challenge

where human and dog
must lean on each other,

teamwork is
critical to survival.

JODIE: Hurts like hell.

(crying)

JODIE: Dig it out.
Keep digging.

NARRATOR: Jodie isn't letting
yesterday's hand injury

prevent her and Gunner from
finding their next meal.

JODIE: Dig it out, dig it.

Good boy!

I am looking for things that I
can use as bait in the water.

Finding several
things in here...

worms and grubs
and things like that.

Gunner, come.

Mom's worn out.

And I'm hungry, and
you know, I feel it.

My energy level is super down.

I need to find, like
deep holes next to the rocks

because that's
where they like to hide.

And so areas like right in
here are absolutely perfect.

It's like fishing with worms.

You just leave it there

and you wait for the
crawdad to strike on it.

(dog whining)

(gasps)

There's a crawdad right there.

Got it. Got it!

So happy.

I got it!

(laughs)

When you're so hungry, that
becomes all you think about.

And so to be able to
eat is just unbelievable.

I mean this is, this
feels so good right now.

Off to the crawdad cookout.

Woop woop.

Thanks, Gunner.

Yeah, see it's
warming up for him now.

I can tell that.

A minute ago you were
living your best life,

and now you're in my mouth.

NARRATOR: With the
triumph of her hearty meal,

Jodie's spirits are soaring

and she has now
edged ahead of the pack.

JODIE: I'd say morale wise,

today has been
a successful day.

NARRATOR: Thanks to Rainy
helping Noah find food,

they're currently tied
with Jason and Maggie.

However, despite a rocky
start and numerous injuries,

Jodie and Gunner's
success sourcing food

has put them on top

but the line between survival
and failure is razor thin

and the size of her
meal is not enough

to ensure Jodie
can retain the lead,

or even make it
through the full ten days.

JASON: That is my spot.

You can get in bed
with me in a minute.

Come on, over here.

JASON (off-screen): Hopefully
find a little bit more fish.

It didn't seem to
be that successful.

It could be a
multitude of things.

It hasn't been easy.

'Cause it's just...

It's a struggle, man.

It's getting
harder each day because

I'm getting more tired,

and a little bit weaker,

and it's hard to get
that energy level high.

The high energy is
kind of what she feeds off

it seems like and
the more excited I am,

the more excited she
is to do something.

And when I'm not feeling
it I gotta really fake it

and it's exhausting

but good things
come to those who wait.

JODIE (off-screen):
I'm definitely glad I didn't leave.

My dad never wanted girls,
he wanted a boy.

I just want to make him
proud of me, you know?

(scoffs)

Silly.

Literally like, absent for
a good percentage of my life

yet making him proud
means so much to me.

(sighs)

(crying)

PRODUCER: Can you just tell
me what's happening right now?

JODIE: I don't know.

It just feels like I have a stabbing
in my... like right here.

NARRATOR: Jodie has awoken

to sudden acute pain
in her abdomen,

prompting production to step
in and assess her condition.

(crying)

JODIE: I was trying
to just tough it out

but it just
keeps getting worse.

All I had was
just those crawdads

but I don't know if it's that.

I'm done. I'm not doing this.

I can't do this.

(dog whining)

NOAH: Think this is
where we cross, Ru.

You coming?

NARRATOR: After
four days without eating,

Noah's body and
mind are suffering.

But Rainy has steadfastly
remained by his side,

comforting him through
the pain and uncertainty.

NOAH: Ah! Slippery stuff.

It's not the ice like we're used to
but it's just as slick.

Here girl.

NOAH (off-screen): In
the dog sledding world,

water is a huge danger.

You can be
hypothermic in minutes.

Typically when Rainy
and I come across a river,

we find a way around it.

So watching Rainy just
stride through the water,

I learned she's able
to learn some new skills.

Great leap, Rainy!

Man, maybe I should
have listened to you!

(splash)

(grunts)

I was surprised she chose
a different path than I did

and maybe that was
the better option,

maybe I should have
followed her lead.

JASON (off-screen): We've come a long ways
when it comes to our teamwork,

but the food thing,
it's still a struggle.

Woo-hoo!

Oh, yeah! That's a good one!

I can't believe
it but I got a fish!

Yes! Yes!

Oh, that's a load off.

(laughs)

I really needed something bad.

Nice. Time for dinner.

Oh, yeah. He looks done.

Never much liked silverware.

Mm.

Oh, this is amazing.

NARRATOR: While Noah and Rainy
enjoy a well-earned dinner.

(crying)

NARRATOR: Jodie's abdominal
pain is intensifying.

JODIE: I was
trying to tough it out

but it just
keeps getting worse.

changed? Are you okay?

JODIE: No. Same.

PRODUCER: Still the same?

JODIE: Yeah.

PRODUCER: Do you feel it's
critical at the moment?

JODIE: I feel like there's
something really going on.

Like, I'm a pretty tough cookie

when it comes to physical pain.

And this is kicking
my ass right now.

PRODUCER: Okay.

PRODUCER: The medic
is coming over to you.

PRODUCER: She's
taking you by boat.

PRODUCER: And we'll
get you off to hospital.

PRODUCER: Okay?

(crying)

JODIE (off-screen): Do I
feel a sense of failure?

Absolutely.

I wish that my body had not
physically given up on me

because I wasn't
ready to be done

and Gunner sure as hell
wasn't ready to be done.

I'm really proud of him.

NARRATOR: With Jodie and

It's a big relief to find her.

Gotta do my best not to

NARRATOR: It's day ten
of the challenge.

With Jodie and Gunner gone,

it's up to the
two remaining teams

to make their final push to
prove they have what it takes

to thrive in the wild.

JASON: I'm just
scratching you, that's all.

NARRATOR: The day
after their coyote scare,

Jason and Maggie are
leaning on teamwork

to secure vital calories
and take the lead.

JASON: I had high
hopes for the fish weir

to kinda do some
kinda passive fishing.

Did it work?

Absolutely not,

so I'm attempting to
make some sort of lure

and Maggie has graciously
lent me some of her hair

to use for our
fly to catch a fish.

Gonna make
dog hair and a stick.

Ah, it's a Maggie-made fly!

See what I did there!

It's a Maggie made fly,

ah man that's good.

That just came to me.

Let's see if we can
catch some fresh fish.

Kinda like a fly rod.

That worked.

Scared all those fish away
by smacking the water.

There's a bite!

Ah-ha, Maggie!

(laughs)

Oh, my Maggie made fly.

Lil' trout. That's awesome.

She's on the

And Maggie taking initiative

NARRATOR: Far
from the wilderness,

Jodie is finally
released from the hospital

after being treated
for severe dyspepsia.

She has rejoined Gunner
as the two make their way

back to civilization
after tapping out.

(birds chirping)

The two remaining teams
are awarded a rating

up to a maximum of ten

based on how they used
their survival skills

and teamwork to
secure food, water, fire,

and shelter while relying
on their mental toughness.

JASON: That's it, Mags.

Let's roll, let's
get out of here.

Setting out on this, the
goal was to see if I could use

my coaching skills that
I've acquired over the years,

and be able to better
communicate with Maggie.

And I feel like we
absolutely accomplished that.

NARRATOR: Jason proved to
be a skilled survivalist,

both resourceful and decisive.

Maggie rose to the challenge
when she was needed most

embracing her prey drive to
identify predator threats.

JASON: Looks like
Maggie found coyote poop.

NARRATOR: And secure
food for her teammate.

JASON: Oh, my Maggie made fly!

NARRATOR: They received a
survival rating of eight.

NOAH: Gonna miss it, Ru.

Thank you for making
it all worthwhile.

For a sled dog, I'm
extremely impressed

with how Rainy has done
in this new environment.

That was our main goal.

NARRATOR: Noah relied on Rainy
to lift him up both physically.

NOAH: Pull me up!
Good girl!

NARRATOR: And emotionally.

NOAH: Thanks for being around

and calming me down, girl.

NARRATOR: Allowing
them to overcome obstacles

and find success.

NOAH: Oh, what
do you see there?

Berries.

NARRATOR: Their strong
connection earned them

a survival rating of six.

NOAH: If somebody wanted to
take on a challenge like this,

best advice I can give 'em

is bring your best
friend in the world

and hopefully they've
got four legs and a tail.

NARRATOR: But in the end,

Jason and Maggie
finished on top.

Their ability
to grow as a team,

leaning on each
other's strengths,

was fundamental to
them thriving in the wild.

JASON: When I found Maggie
on the side of the road,

I had no idea what
she was capable of doing,

didn't know her personality.

Sharing this ten day
adventure with her,

I know that she's
capable of doing a lot.

The future's wide
open for me and Mags.

We can do whatever we want,

we can conquer
this world, you know?
