someone else to play Scrooge.

to the 100th anniversary
of Dickens Days.

As you know, every year,

in the week leading
up to Christmas,

our town is transformed
into Victorian London

and we are transported back

to the time of our namesake,

the great writer and
chronicler of his age,

Charles Dickens.

And for our Centennial
celebration,

we've pulled out all the stops.

Today, we'll have a visit
from Father Christmas.

And tomorrow is the
gingerbread house contest.

Then, candlelight
caroling on Main Street,

Dickens Day of Giving,

and finally, our
Christmas Eve production

of "A Christmas Carol."

This year, it's a
special privilege

to welcome home Dickens'
most famous actor

to play the starring
role of Ebenezer Scrooge,

our very own Jake Dorsey.

- Jake! Uh, you missed your
wardrobe fitting this morning.

And the mayor was on stage
hoping to introduce you.

He was going to have
me come up on stage

and scream, "Bah,

I'm not gonna do that.

problem screaming it

last night at the theater,

- Because I was making
a grand entrance.

It was, it was very different.

signed up to do the play.

do all this other stuff.
