And that's when you decided
to shoulder them?

to contact my chain of command

to see if there was
any such exercise scheduled.

There was not.

Colonel, I do not attack another ship
on a whim.

The Turks left me no choice.

I informed them
they were in Greek territorial waters

and ordered them
to change their course.

Within three nautical miles
of the Greek island of Anaxios Vrahos.

we were on a NATO operation,

exercising our right
