Season 5 Reunion.

with the crew of
Super Yacht Wellington,

who are joining me from
quite literally

all over the world.

Starting with Captain Sandy.

and mom-to-be, Hannah Ferrier,

joining us from Australia.

So how far along are you now?

I'm just about to hit
eight months.

Well, the interior department
began this season

catering to their guests'
every wish

as long as what they wished for
was dysfunction, disinterest,

and stews who were
at each other's throats.

Take a look.

Stop doing the crew mess
and go into laundry.

My own time I stop.
If you don't mind.

- Lady.
- If you don't mind.

If you're mean to me

You can't just
tell me anything

and then expect me
not to answer back.

Hannah's your superior.

You don't have to
respect Hannah,

you have to respect
her position.

I'm not feeling
comfortable anymore.

She's quitting.

Why would I want someone
to stay who wants to quit?

We've been working very hard
to get a strong second stew.

It's Bugsy.

Hannah, you

Coming back to work
as a second

is definitely not something
I ever saw myself doing.

But Captain Sandy's
the only person

I would do
something like this for.

You're different.
Like, you're not you.

I brought Bugsy in
to support you,

not to replace you.

Because I feel like
you've sort of resigned.

Well, before we get into
the Lara drama,

I just want to say
we invited her to join us today

and she declined saying,
"I would like to say that

"considering how I was
portrayed on the show,

"I have declined the invite."

So do you all think

that Lara was represented
unfairly on the show?

Anyone wanna weigh in on this?

- Not at all.
- Nope.

In fact if I-if I would have
known how hard

she was going
at Hannah, I, uh,

I would have fired her
immediately.

But I had no idea
until I watched the show.

Hannah, Lisa S. wants to know

what you think
you could have done differently

to save Lara's job and create
a better interior team?

I-I really wasn't
trying to save Lara's job.

I was trying to
get Lara fired.

I didn't want to deal with that
for a whole season.

Kate F. emailed,

"Sandy, if Lara hadn't quit
would you have fired her?"

Of course.

I want professionals and
she was not a professional.

So when Lara left,
the interior department

and the laundry room
began to spiral.

Sandy, Sharon J.
From New Jersey said,

"Why were you mad
and upset with laundry

"when the stews were
down a person,

"knowing the changeover
would be difficult?

"It seems like
it was something to let go

"and not fair to the stews."

Laundry is something
that should never be behind.

You can have two people
keep up with laundry.

Remember, I've been
doing this a long time,

I've had a lot of stews.

I think the lack of experience
that Jess had, um, uh,

was hard for her to keep up
with the laundry.

When Bugsy showed her
how to do it,

the laundry was never behind.

We only have eight guests,
we don't have twelve.

And a lot of boats run with
twelve guests and two stews.

So they're lucky
they have three stews.

Hannah, what's your
response to that?

I've never seen a charter boat
that's sixty meters

that runs with two stews
ever in twelve years.

But there's only eight guests,
there's not fourteen guests.

I've never seen a
sixty-meter charter yacht...

- Yeah, but you know...
- ...no matter how many guests,

run with two stews ever.

You've never worked on
a sixty-meter charter yacht,

- Hannah, ever.
- How would you know?

- In your life.
- Actually...

'Cause I know.

I have, I have,
and we had four.

I have your resume.

Did you not have
the same issue

when you were down a stew
with Bugs and Jess?

I said once Bugsy took over,
the laundry system was fine.

- There was never an issue.
- Oh, okay.

There was always an issue
with the laundry

since day one, Hannah.
And that's the truth.

This is nothing personal.
I'm just calling it as I see it.

The minute Bugsy took over,

the laundry room
was always clean.

I never walked by and
the laundry room wasn't a mess.

When you were there...
I will say though-

- If you had three people,
it was always a mess.

Well, since I was there too,
um, I would just say that

it took a little bit of time
for Bugsy and I

to kind of get
that pattern down,

rhythm down with the laundry.

- Especially being down a stew.
- Yeah.

We were definitely backed up
from before,

I'm not like pointing fingers
at anyone but like, it's just...

I mean you only get backed up
one charter,

you don't get backed up
for weeks.

It was just
a domino effect

with everything that happened.

- You know what I mean?
- Right.

Like, laundry got out of hand.

It was never... there was never
a system in place

until Bugsy arrived.

By the end of that charter,
laundry got sorted.

And maybe it was
your relationship with Rob,

I have no idea.
I have no idea.

My relationship with Rob
had nothing to do

with the laundry.

Well, Hannah had barely
said goodbye

to her new mortal enemy

before Captain Sandy
brought back one of her old ones

when Bugsy returned
as Second Stew.

We've been working very hard
to get a strong second stew.

It's Bugsy.

Hannah, you don't look happy.

Kiko, Jared H. said,

"you bonded with Hannah
and were quick to warn her

"when Bugsy was trying to
throw her under the bus.

"Why didn't you trust Bugsy?"

It's not like
I really didn't trust her

but I'm... I remember
she made one comment

I remember on the lime things
that I-I didn't like too much.

Well, Hannah should
have ordered our lemons.

- Did she not order them?
- I'm not sure.

Yeah, well don't give us
any of yours,

we need to
take care of ourselves.

It was just like
weird sensation, you know?

But she was just commenting

so it's always
just sides, you know?

Kiko, you did tell Hannah
to watch out for Bugsy.

- Open your eyes, man.
- What do you mean?

- Because the lemon.
- Okay, mushrooms.

She asked me.

But you're not
responsible for that.

No, I know, trust me.

Why do you think I had
so much trouble last time?

I thought that was
a little bit weird

in the moment we were.

So that's why I said that,
you know?

I think he was just genuinely
trying to be protective.

I think the lemon thing
was blown way out of proportion

to be honest with you.

Kiko obviously had
preconceptions of me

coming into the season
because Hannah thought that

I was obviously gonna come in

and cause some kind of
drama with her

which, honestly, I don't think
we had a drama between us.

But I was genuinely saying,
like, Kiko, keep your lemons.

It wasn't like
a malicious comment,

or I wasn't trying to

throw Hannah under
the bus in any way.

Jess, Jolene from Nebraska
wants to know,

"Who was the better Chief Stew,
Hannah or Bugsy?

"And whose management style
do you prefer?"

So, with Hannah,
it was a mess with Lara.

I feel like it's not very fair
to judge on that.

Bugsy does give
varied directions

which I appreciate
and I work best with.

So that would literally
be the only difference.

Malia, Sara A.

when the season first started

"you totally had Hannah's back,
then as it progressed

"and Bugsy came into the picture
you would make it a point

"to find Bugsy
just to talk poorly

Well, I think that's
a difficult one

because obviously Bugsy is
a Chief Stew herself

she's my friend.

to Hannah

then she's my next option.

reaction to that?

Bugsy, Ally S. wants to know
if you agree with Sandy

that Hannah was not
being herself this season.

I mean, there was
a huge difference

from the last season
I worked with her

and I'm not saying, like,
she wasn't doing

what she should have been doing,
I'm just saying, like,

I didn't really think
Hannah wanted to be there.

What's your
reaction that, Hannah?

It's just strange to me
because I think that

I was definitely at
a different stage of my life

this season.

I like what I do,
I go there to earn money,

I want to make sure

the guests have
the best holiday possible.

I just don't want to be doing it
when I'm forty

and I don't think that there's
anything wrong with that.

I don't think I should be,
like, smashed down

because I don't want to
still be cleaning toilets

at forty-five.

No, I'm not smashing you down
about that, like, at all.

I'm just saying,
I'm getting to that stage too.

Everyone's getting to that stage
where they realize that

yachting's not-not
the be all and end all.

- Yeah.

As the first female bosun
in "Below Deck" history,

Malia shattered the glass buoy.

But when it came to
some of the disrespectful guys

on her crew,

she probably wanted to
break a few skulls as well.

Take a look at
this season's deckhand drama.

I'll be your bosun
this season

in case you haven't
figured that out yet.

- Treat me like one of the boys.
- 100%.

- Yes.
- Cool.

Let's get this section

'cause they're having
breakfast up here.

Watch out, sweetheart.

- I checked, sweetheart.
- Thank you, sweetheart.

He keeps calling me "sweetie"
and I'm like,

- "I'm not your sweetie".
- Yeah.

That pisses me off.
It's just blatant disrespect.

I'm not your sweetie
or your sweetheart.

I'm your bosun.

If you don't like it,
get off.

Well, obviously, Lara
isn't the only crew member

who isn't here today.

I want to talk about
what went down with Pete.

Pete was terminated from
"Below Deck Mediterranean"

in June after he shared
a racist and sexist meme

on his Instagram.

Do you all agree that he
should have been fired

from the show?

Do you-do you buy
his apology?

Anyone wanna weigh in
on this?

Yeah, he was odd,
honestly.

I had a few
conversations with him.

The lack of consciousness
when it comes to,

what's going on in our planet
and in-in our world.

And that picture was
so disturbing,

I-I was blown away.

Anyone else upset
about that meme?

Yeah, of course.

It's like quite upsetting
and disturbing.

I think anyone can agree.

I think Pete can agree himself
that was an absolutely

disturbing thing
to have posted.

Did anyone speak
to him about it?

- Yeah, I did.
- I did.

We texted.
I go, "What are you thinking?

Like, "What-what is wrong?"

And then he-he wrote back,
"Oh, my God, it was a mistake."

And then I didn't
hear from him.

He's just someone
that doesn't get it.

He can say as much as
he wants like,

"Oh, it was a mistake
and whatever else."

But he says these things.

Got it.

Okay, from the moment Malia
took on the role of bosun,

it was clear that she would
not be taking any crap.

For Hannah
and Alex and Rob,

Courtney from
Massachusetts said,

"Do you all feel like
Malia went to Captain Sandy

"too often to help her
solve her problems?"

I don't think she did.

If I had that, I would
be doing it as well.

So I understand, yeah.

I... yeah, I-I mean-I mean,
like, for Malia's,

you know, first time having
this big leader role on,

you know, on what we're doing,
it's like absolutely,

going to Captain Sandy
was the best thing

'cause Sandy's been there,
she's done that,

a woman in charge.

I mean it's...
Getting advice from her

is-is the best advice
you can get

in this industry, so...

This isn't where
it stops for me.

I wanna be a captain,
and Captain Sandy is a captain.

So if I can go to her
and get the knowledge

that she's earned
over the years

then, you know,
that's better for me

rather than trying to
pave the way on my own.

Malia came to me.
Malia talked to me.

Hannah really
didn't ever do that.

She would come to me and just
give me like three sentences.

Malia would come to me
and explain the whole scenario.

and I told you that Lara

had put her hands on me
in an altercation.

Hannah, didn't Sandy
sit you and Lara down

and try to advocate
for you at one point?

I think she was there
to try and play referee

to a-a conversation
between the two of us.

No, I wasn't
playing referee.

I was listening to
both sides of the story.

Um, so when Lara
did what she did,

um, then yeah, of course,
I saw it with my own eyes,

but I wasn't a referee.
I'm a captain.

I'm there to run a vessel,
do the job,

and make sure everyone
can do their job.

was Sandy's favorite?

Year after year what?

Um, it just seems
to be year after year

that Sandy has somebody
that is kind of her favorite.

It doesn't really
bother me anymore.

I think it's interesting
how people think

they know how I feel.

It just blows me away when
people make that assumption.

Hannah, what do you think
Sandy doesn't like about you,

or what do you think it is?

I think to be honest
with you,

Sandy watched season one

and came up with
her version of what I was.

Within about a minute
of meeting Sandy,

she already started
kind of talking to me

about a scene
that had happened

in-in the first season.

What was the scene?

Me describing
one of Ben's dishes.

I can't remember every detail
about a dish in two seconds.

I need some time
to remember it.

But obviously
it didn't look like that.

And the main is moussaka?

Yeah.

- Moussaka's a wicked dish.
It's very Greek.

Ground lamb, ground eggplants,
cinnamon, and tomato.

And mozzarella.

For the main course
you have moussaka.

Which is?

It's like a Greek,
a traditional Greek dish.

It's like ground beef,
grilled vegetables, uh, baked.

I think it's got a cheese
on top if I recall correctly.

I don't want any of that.

- Okay, sure.
It's a very heavy dish.

Sandy, why did you bring up
that scene to Hannah?

Well, it looked terrible.

I mean, it was awful,

but to me a Chief Stew
should be able

to pronounce the food
and know what they're serving.

But I forgot that part.

I watched it, I had
a preconceived idea,

we discussed it,
and we-we moved on.

Haven't thought about
that first scene for years.

And every time Hannah and I
show up on a boat, I reset.

Hannah, any response?

I think she doesn't
like the fact

that I don't want to be
in yachting long term.

I think that bothers her.

No, I don't.

I want Han-Hanna's
living her dream.

She's always wanted to have
a baby and a boyfriend

and raise kids.

She wanted
a boatload of kids.

I-I'm happy for Hannah.

I think that's
all she ever wanted.

And I like what she said,
this was about...

She wasn't there because
she had... she loved

working in yachting.

She doesn't want to clean
toilets until she's forty.

She wants a life ashore.
A lot of people do.

I think we all want that.

And when you have people who
are there just for a paycheck,

eh, they're there
for a paycheck.

- That's it.
- So then,

you kind of backed into that,
but maybe it does annoy you

that Hannah's there
for the paycheck

and in pursuit of
something else.

I wouldn't use
the word, "annoy."

I can't explain it,
it's not personal.

It's professional.

Sandy, do you think
Malia has what it takes

to be a great
captain someday?

Absolutely, the first season
I worked with Malia

what I got to witness, uh,
after watching the show

was how she diffused things
when she confronted Hannah.

"I'm right here,
you can say it to my face."

Have fun with that.

No, Hannah, if you have
something to say,

say it to my face.

That is a quality of someone
who's able to stand up

and hear confrontation

without hiding behind
someone else

or talking behind
their back.

And when I witnessed that
and how hard she worked,

I thought, "Wow, she actually
could make a great leader."

I'm proud of her.

- Very nice.
I wanna move on.

With a sweet demeanor and
a relentless love of moqueca,

Chef Kiko holds
the distinction

of being one of the only
living yacht chefs

who isn't totally insane.

Unfortunately, people
weren't always crazy

about his food.
Take a look.

For dinner we'll start
at nine, it's... ing late.

- Ten minutes until I serve.
- ...Ing late.

It was really good,
but mine was super raw.

Are you still hungry?

- I'm a bit...

We gotta work on
portion sizes, hey?

We can't be average.

- We have to be spectacular.
- Yeah.

You gotta kill it
for me this charter.

Otherwise, I have to
find another chef.

uh, shrimp cocktails.

Sounds like
a Vegas menu to me.

It's like a kid's

- Yeah.

- And then I leave.

Wants to know

if you believe
you were qualified

to be a solo superyacht chef
on this size boat

coming into the season.

Yeah, it was
very difficult,

but I always
gonna try, you know?

Like, you give me an opportunity
I will never say no.

You know, if it's
better than what I have,

I always say yes
and I try my best.

Kiko, have you ever worked
on a boat this big before?

I work, but, uh,
on 110 meters.

But also it was private,

and I wasn't
the, um, the sous-chef.

I was working with
the-the crew chef.

So a crew chef is actually
cooking for the crew.

It's not cooking
for the guests.

So the style of food is
different, is that right?

Of course, it's more
like a buffet style.

But in the other yachts
that I was working for,

which wasn't sixty meters,

I was the only chef,
so I was cooking

for the guests
and for the crew.

- So, Kiko, Christina M.
From Minneapolis

wants to know if you
think Captain Sandy

broke your spirit
as each charter went on.

You rocked it in the galley
at the beginning,

but I feel Sandy
was riding you too hard

and made sure she was
aware of every misstep.

What do you think?

I think, to be honest,
like in the beginning,

me and Captain Sandy,
in my opinion,

we were doing very well.
It was great.

But after my first breakdown,
which was the vegan part,

it's going very,
very down.

Do you see that you might
have been in over your head

- a little bit?
- Yeah, for sure.

I should be
better on vegan food

or I should know,
like, all the-the things,

but, uh, I'm human,
you know,

like, I'm learning
day by day.

Sandy, do you think you did
everything you could to support him?

I don't think I was
over my head, I...

It's a big job,
I agree.

Um, you were provisioning
the same day,

um, every day
I was in there

washing his dishes,
right, Kiko?

Speaking truthfully here,
your resume,

you cooked for eleven days
for those crew

on that big boat.

When you look at
the level of experience

versus, let's say Tom,

he's a trained
superyacht chef.

I think it's hard, personally,
I think Kiko's a great guy.

He works really hard,
he does his best.

It's not that
you failed, Kiko.

It's that you saw
that you actually need

more training under
that kind of pressure.

It's not personal.

It's about delivering
what the client wants.

I was like, "Oh, my God,
this is horrible."

thought that Kiko

was in over his head.

I just feel like
we kind of

should have been
at least tried

to lift him up
and-and give him support.

And I don't really
feel like that was there.

You know, I-I'm gonna

because I did
that every day, Kiko.

Did I not?

Did I not come and support you
in the beginning?

Did I not?

Did I not stand shoulder
to shoulder with you

and wash the dishes?

Hannah wasn't there.
She doesn't know.

How was I not there?

You weren't there
when I was washing the dishes,

you were on break.

I'm not talking
about washing dishes.

Like, a deckhand can
come and wash dishes.

I'm talking about
his mood and like,

- lifting him up.
- So that's the other part.

You gotta be able to check...
You gotta be able to check

your mood-your mood
and your feelings

and professionalism
is about being able

to perform
when you're moody.

This is about
running a boat.

This is about
doing your job.

And if you can't sustain
your emotional balance...

- I was asked a question, Sandy.
I'm answering the question.

While doing your job
and staying...

And staying emotionally
in check by doing your job,

then you're not cut
for this job.

Because guess what?
You're gonna be moody,

you're gonna feel unbalanced,
you're gonna feel attacked,

you're gonna have
criticism on your food,

criticism on your job.

But you've gotta be able
to stand up and say,

"Right, I'm gonna take this,
I'm gonna make it great."

And that's the thing,
it's like you get knocked down,

you get back up again.

And this is not about feelings,
this is about doing a job.

And what we have
to focus on here.

And Kiko, you did
your very best,

but you were in
over your head.

You never had that much time
on a superyacht,

and that's the reality.

If you were able to work
under a superyacht chef

like a Tom or someone like that,
you would be incredible

because you've got
the best attitude

than any chef I've ever
worked with on the planet.

The boat and the yacht life,
it's not about feelings.

I agree with you,
but if you were like

a little bit more like
"Let's do this together.

Let's finish."

Let's, you know,
like, "I-I trust in you".

Like, let's do it
and not like doubt myself

every-every time,

Well, as Chef Kiko's job
was in jeopardy,

he decided to bet it all

on an ill-fated
dining experience

known as "Vegas Night".

I guess the question is,
what is Vegas food,
