gunpoint, including a wounded,

He also claims to have

She was deployed in Afghanistan

when she fell asleep
on guard duty at her base

and an incursion happened.

promoted to sergeant

and is now due all related backpay.

DeMayo's remains will be
moved to a veteran's cemetery,

given a proper funeral,
with full honors.

Further, she is being awarded
the Navy and Marine Corps Medal

for her actions trying
to stop the theft.

That's the highest non-combat decoration

a Marine could be awarded.

It's the least we could do.

She deserved so much more.

Shame her father can't
be at the ceremony.

You know what he said to me?

If he had to, he'd do it all again.

If you truly believed
that was the only way

you could get justice for Aiden or Kam,

you wouldn't even consider it?

That's what I can't stop thinking about.
