it was the most awesome piece of
recycled wood art I'd ever seen.

And then he would sell them?

after all, but...

the guy actually rented

One thing you might notice

is that the stage is stacked
with a particular family,

so it's no wonder
that the runner-up

in the expert flying competition
is another McQueen.

You know, the first time I flew
in one of these festivals,

I was six years old.

My dad, the handsome chap,
most of you know behind me,

built me a tetrahedral.

This one here.

This kite is, uh...

let's just say it's pretty old.

But it's more than that.

It represents the bonds
of family.

Strength, commitment, and love.

Love that has been unkept
and free...

and love that has found
its way back.

As many of you know,

I moved back here
with my daughter

after several years
of living away...

and I gotta say,

I am so happy
that we made that decision.

For many reasons,
this place is special,

our family, old friends,
this festival.

But it's become
even more special, for us,

because of new friends,

and specifically
one particular person.

The same person
who just so happens

to have beat the socks off me
in the competition today,

Hannah Adams.
