for extermination.

- [Hollow] So, how does
the win feel Landon?

- [Maddelynn] How was your win?

- I feel fucking amazing.

not seeing the correlation,

which might not benefit me

but it definitely
benefits Landon.

just because there
was really no costume.

- So I walk into the room

and all the girls are cheering,

and it warmed my
cold little heart

to know that they missed me.

and it was like just
really squishy guts

and like I didn't even want

as extravagant as
everyone else's,

gonna kill it dancing--

I had like my inspirations
like they were like

cartoony vampires--

vampire queens.

- [Maddelynn] I thought it
was disco vampire queen.

- Um no, I was
actually very offended

whenever I heard
that you were safe.

I thought that that
Three Musketeer bullshit

was just unacceptable.

I was shocked,
it's vampire queen.

I look at someone like Saint,

and like we can say all
we want about her costume

and how she presented herself,

but like she didn't
come out week one

in cardboard and bullshit.

She didn't come out week two

in something that did not even
look remotely like a vampire.

- Well they liked it.

- [Maxi] They told
me they liked it.

- Well I didn't like

- That kinda is insulting
'cause the fact like

I thought it should be done

my inspirations for vampire

but also I'm a

behind your outfit.

Last week you tapped
into your veins

to show us that drag
filled horror and glamour

were in your blood.

- But this week we want to
see it in your attitude,

and to do that we're asking you

to transform yourselves
into rock stars.

[cheering]

- That's right my
little mutants,

it's our Monsters
of Rock challenge.

[cheering]

- For this legacy challenge

you'll need to create a
spectacular arena-style look

inspired by the metal
gods of the past

and serve it to us
during the floor show.

After that, you'll
form two bands

and as a group you'll
need to impress us

with your most face melting
and fearsome rock show.

- You'll also need to
create a second group look

that unifies your band.

Since we're
smarter than you,

we've already gone ahead
and split you into two bands

and we've assigned a lead
singer to each group.

- Evah Destruction you'll be
lead singer for the first band.

Your band mates are
Dollya, Maxi and Priscilla.

That means Hollow, Yovska,
Landon and Louisianna

you'll make up the second band

and be led by Maddelynn Hatter.

[applause]

You'll have to decide who
plays which instrument,

the lighting, the
blocking, everything.

The power's in your hands,

so enjoy it while it lasts.

- If your rock performance
is anything less

than hellishly hardcore,

you'll face an
extermination challenge

that will leave you shredded
worse than any guitar.

- I'm not gonna lie,

I'm a little skeptical about
the team selection you know--

we haven't discussed the fact

I'm assigned group leader

for this week's challenge
for Monsters of Rock

and I am ready to prove
myself to the Boulets.

So band name, I was kind of
thinking of the name SLAG.

So Slag is sort of like the
British slang term for slut.

- I wanna be blue,
I'm gonna be cute,

doing some signature
Maxi you know.

- Evah, Evah you're team
captain, talk, I can't, I can't.

- I don't think blue will
really work for this babe.

In my head I'm already thinking

of us doing like sexual women,

- Do you have pads?
- You have to wear pads,

I want curves, I want
your natural skin tone.

- [Maxi] I got curves.

- She doesn't want to pad
because she doesn't believe

that all women look like that

so therefor she doesn't have to,

there are many shapes
and sizes and genders

and blah, blah blah,
blah blah, blah blah.

I think it's an
excuse for being lazy.

- So this is my challenge
for you as an entertainer

to leave the blue face,
leave the boy chest,

leave the dick out in

the best way to do it

- I feel like the other
team might struggle

'cause they're like a
bunch of like glamour ,

beauty, you know, padded girls.

they're also like...

The fact that Dollya's
already starting

to come for Maxi
straight out the gate.

- They have been.

- It's really funny because
Dollya was sitting there

like talking about how
she talks about everything

in front of someone and
addresses it directly,

but she's been saying
shady shit about me

to other people and not
addressing it to me.

- [Landon] I know!

- You should probably
practice what you preach.

Dollya is coming at Maxi

and saying Maxi
needs to be upfront

and say things to people's face

and that's the way
that she behaves,

but it was clearly not the
way Dollya was behaving

because Dollya had spent the
last day talking shit about me

behind my back to everyone.

On top of that like it's
issues of me being filthy

and I think that
that's really funny

because we're on Dragula,

and just because
you're not filthy

doesn't mean that you're
not gonna be surrounded

by filthy competitors.

[group mutters agreement]

And I am a very valid
and important part

of this competition,
- Abso-fucking-lutely.

- And you can't polish filth,

so I don't know if that
can be done by them.

You don't get to come
on television and
make a big statement

about how people need to talk

when actually Maxi did
it front of everybody.

about what we're

I was really crushed,

and I thought what happened

and then I found out that

A while ago I betrayed
Dollya's trust

and I thought we were past
this but she brought it up

to other competitors and
I just wish this was over.

not what I was told.

- I am hurt with Maddelynn

because I feel like she
really threw me under the bus

in boudoir and
Maddelynn's mad at me

because she's taking a
story way out of context.

The reason it was brought up

was because I was saying
how far we've come to now.

because it's just

red leather jacket

that I hand spiked all over,

literally did all these spikes

until my fingers bruised,

and I'm really proud
to show it off.

- So my inspiration
for today's floorshow

is from amazing rock goddesses

like Wendy O. Williams
of the Plasmatics

and Poison Ivy of the Cramps.

There's leopard, there's
leather, there's spikes

there's safety
pins all over this,

very much different from
what I've been showing

in a more amped
up version of me.

- I am very inspired by
Cherie Currie, Joan Jett

and then Twisted Sister.

Dee Snider but with like
out supporting Trump.

Like this is three
wigs put into one,

and Maddelynn actually took
the time out of her day

to help me like style this wig

even though she wasn't
on the same team as me.

So I think that's pretty cool.

But yeah like I love
the big, big, big hair

from the 70's and 80's.

And then I've got a lot
of leather and fringe

and a lot of rock
and roll and cocaine.

- I made this hat from
scratch from EVA foam

and a lot of heat set and
drummeling and patience.

I really don't think there's
any difference between

getting ready as a drag
king or a drag queen.

They're taping their
dicks in their butt hole

and I'm putting my
nipples in my armpits.

We're putting on
just as much make up,

the whole process
is just the same,

it's just different body parts.

and the challenges
we put before you.

So we're gonna talk about
your group look to start.

- Slag, your tits look gorgeous.

The make up and the
styling, it's all cohesive.

I really believed
you were a band,

it's like a gothic
Jem and the Holograms.

- I feel like my team
did come together

and I think that everyone
really had a good understanding

of what it was we
were wanting to do.

- The great
acrobatics, fantastic.

Not only was the move great

but the fact that you got back
to your instrument in time

and actually maintained
the baseline.

You were doing your work.

I love the whole thing.

- You could tell that
there was a synergy

and that's what
made it believable.

I just got kind of pulled
into your performance.

You look like you
belong in the group,

you look like you were
really comfortable

performing together,

that's what a show
like this really needs.

- Evah your energy was
incredible tonight.

This was a chance
for you to show

that you really
know how to perform,

tonight you proved it.

You were like
leaving me exhausted.

I know that you were
like gasping for air

after you were done, well done.

- So we are going to move
onto our thoughts about Koven.

- I'm gonna start with
my thoughts on Koven.

What the fuck happened?

Because in the
middle of your show,

you all froze and sort of
broke character completely.

- I don't have another
set to go back in my mouth

so all I can do is
stick dirty needles

I dropped on the floor

But I'm having a moment.

- Does anybody wanna
tell us what happened?

- That was my fault.

I was thrown by a needle
removal that I wasn't expecting.

I was expecting it
at a different time,

and unfortunately I
was not professional

and I did not hold character.

- I think both Hollow and Mads

should be up for extermination

because they fucked up.

- Was there a lack of
communication between you all?

- Honestly there was a
lot of miscommunication.

So we were not prepared.

- I understand that, but I do
wanna say, both bands had gag.

They figured out
how to do on time

and in the right moment,

so there was some kind
of communication fail

on your all's part that
you didn't understand that.

Regardless, that
is the fact right?

- Absolutely.

- But why don't you
guys speak with them

about their performance
and look tonight.

- When you guys
started your number,

the ritual was happening.

I got the sense there was a
lot of looking at each other

kind of you know, who's next?

What happens next?

It didn't feel rehearsed

and I feel like witches
performing a ritual

would know exactly
what's gonna happen.

- And who would lead it and
who's turn it would be next.

I was very much there for
the blood letting ritual

but I felt like the
risk to payoff ratio

just happened to land
outside of your favor.

- It was certainly
uncomfortable for us, you know.

- Koven did not practice as
much as we did, and it showed.

If you want to do well,
you gotta practice.

- Koven, you all had a challenge
that Slag did not have,

in that five people in your band

so you had a little bit
more congestion on stage

which you could have
used to your advantage,

more people more things to do,

but I thought the visceral
intensity of your performance

should not go unmentioned.

I dug it, I got it, it made
me nervous which is good.

I think if you had
another chance,

you would have used the fact
that you had five people

in the band to your advantage.

So if you're ever in
this situation again,

I hope you do that.

- Now as you all know,

there can be only one
band that reigns supreme

in the Dragula
Monsters of Rock show.

And that band is Slag.

your outfit tonight

more for rock than
your previous outfit,

- I felt like you could
be in a GWAR band.

I know how hard it is to
build that kind of costume

I was very impressed.

- The eyes were
really captivating
and held my attention,

I was captivated
the entire time,

so I really enjoyed their work.

- Yovska, your color
pallet for me, all wrong.

That softness was just
off the mark for me.

I did appreciate your
attempt to bring us

on this journey into
this cartoon world

that I've grown to
expect from you,

but there's a certain
level of elevation

that everyone here
is maintaining,

and you need to pull yourself
up to keep up with that.

- The style was off
the mark for me.

I felt like you were
giving me Cirque du Soleil

I did not see rock
monster in it at all.

- I was baffled by your look,

but I wouldn't say that that's
necessarily a bad thing.

I felt like your costume

was really fascinating
and interesting

but I didn't think it
fulfilled the assignment.

- I'm honestly really shocked

that they did not
like my look at all.

I thought what I had
was really on point,

with the whole 90's J-rock thing

but looking around the room

they're all doing
like Twisted Sister

and I think I might
have missed the memo.

- Landon, the guitar
you know was amazing,

you know lighting the
guitar with the flare,

spinning it, fantastic.

- It's challenging
to be a drag king

and have to work that
kind of look that you did

and you did a fantastic job.

- I was fucking
scalped from that show.

- It's harder to be
fabulous you know,

when playing a dude.

It just is, and
you looked great.

And I believed it.

- That was unbelievable,

and that was the stand
out, knock out of them all.

- Maddelynn you had amazing
energy in your floor show.

I think that's your
strongest component

is you have this mad wild
rock and roll banshee energy,

And your hair was my favorite
hair of the night for sure.

about self indulgence

and really having
fun, it was good.
